Yes you can. Claude Akin co-sponsored a bill with Paul Ryan to redefine forcible rape to make it harder to get federal funding for abortions in the case of rape or incest, even though such funding is already prohibited. As I said in another post, Akin is Ryan, Ryan is Akin. Akin is the Republican Party, the Republican party is Akin.

And Weiner is the Democratic Party. The Democratic party is a bunch of perverts hell bent on passing easy abortion bills so they can cover their affairs by having the babies aborted. And so they can have free sex without having to pay child support, or be responsible for their actions. Sounds stupid? So does your stupid comments saying that Akin represents the mindset of the Republican party.

I have never heard such hogwash--that man is an ass--[hope I can use that word]
I hope that some doctor will set him straight--saying that a woman's body will reject a fetus if it is a legal rape!!!!!!!!!!! :?: :?: :?: :?:

Leaving politics out of this. (I know nothing about american politics) is this moron trying to say that if a raped woman got pregnant then she wasn't raped. do you really want some idiot like this running your country regardless of which party he belongs to. Would be better if he engaged brain before speaking

That isn't what he said. He was quoting some "scientific" report he read that said it was more difficult to get pregnant during a rape than otherwise.

It is an American traditon to elect idiots to office. One of the tests they have to pass involves discussing logic with a formica table top. If they lose the argument then they get to run for office. Now you know everything there is to know about American politics

I am not going to get into the argument about if Ryan was right or wrong in his legislation as for one I do not necessarily agree with him nor do I actually know the piece of legislation and I am not so sure that you do either, I certainly would not allow a left-wing blog site to form my opinion for me. What I do know is that Medicaid money is being used to fund abortions and that the legislation that you are pointing to would have put further restrictions on medicaid funded abortions.

See this link, just after Roe v Wade, medicaid funded abortions had no restrictions, they were restricted with the Hyde amendment, but it is not true that federal money is not funding abortions.... Like I said, this is not an argument that I am going to become to involved in as abortion is an issue that I generally stay away from, I do believe however that federal dollars should not be used for abortions of lifestyle choice.

I believe this was the comments and views of one man, who did not represent the Republican party when he made the comment. The Republican party has called for him to step down from the congressional race due to his comments. I am a Christian conservative, and I do not agree with him. Rape is rape, regardless of whether it is forcible rape or a sexual assault. No means no. There are many cases of rape that are not forced. The girl said no, the offender pushes himself on her until she gives in, against her will. It is not forced, but it is still rape. I do not believe in abortion, since I believe that life begins at conception. However, I can concede that there are circumstances where abortion may be the only way to save the mother, mentally or physically. Why should a woman have to live with the reminder of one the most horrible things that can happen to her, whether it be for 9 months before giving the baby up for adoption, or a reminder for life if she chooses to keep the child.

I also think that Weiner was a pervert, who probably does support pro-life bills to hide his inappropriate affairs, but I do not believe that he represented the Democratic party when he chose to send pics of his genitalia over twitter.

My point is that you cannot judge a group of people on the views of one. Our political parties are made up of individuals, each with beliefs and views of their own. I know many democratic liberals whom I believe to be fine, upstanding people. I do not judge all by the actions of one.

Very well stated, I did not want to take the time to explain all of that to the dimwits, but I am glad you did. The problem is they will never understand any of what you said. It is not that they cannot understand it; they just do not want the facts or the truth getting in the way of their leftist views.

Did you notice how many people said, "there's not a racist bone in Joe Biden's body." It's amazing how many Democrats came up with the same line at the same time!! If I didn't know better I'd think it was scripted. But if it was scripted I couldn't really believe it now, could I?

WTF does this have to do with Biden? He's the Democrats problem. The Republicans' problem is that they can't keep all their clowns in the car. Sometimes they get out and then the media circus becomes a three-ring extravaganza.

Sorry....you set this up...The problem with the Democrats' clown is that he's the Vice President.

Great tactic. You have no answer to the topic, so you change the subject. This thread was not about Joe Biden. It was about the reprehensible attitude of the Republican Party as represented by the comments of a complete moron. But who cares about that when you can change the subject and get in a zinger at the vice president?
quote=SteveR quote=RixPix quote=SteveR quote=g... (show quote)

SteveR did not change the subject. You Democrats want to paint the entire Republican Party as having the same "reprehensible attitude ". Before the end of the day you will be referring to the Tea Party and the Conservatives in the same way. Biden makes really racist remarks, all the time; Clinton is impeached for his actions against women, lying to Congress, sighted for contempt for lying to a judge during his trial for attempted rape, accused by multiple women for groping them, Kennedy kills a woman, Hank Jonhson declares if we increase the number of personnel on Guam it could tip over, and on and on.

Todd Akin makes a really stupid comment and that is "about the reprehensible attitude of the Republican Party ". Akin has apologized many times and acknowledged his mistake. Which one of the above mentioned Democrats offered an apology for their stupid actions? I can't tell, between tschmath and greymule, who has the thickest skull. Maybe tschmath can use his math skills to compute how much denser the average Democrat skull is than a block of concrete.

The man doesn’t agree with abortion on demand, a CEO doesn’t agree with gay marriage, I don’t agree with taking advantage of an employee in the Oval Office or the President of the United States lying almost every time he opens his mouth. Again you Democrats want us to understand that any attitude that is different than yours indicates a lack of intelligence and membership in some sub-human species.

Here's a flash: a great many Americans don't approve of abortion on demand or gay marriage or banning Christian children from praying or talking about their God in school while other religions can spread their prayer rugs and have at it. A great number of us are fed up with being called racist if we disagree with the President while the Vice-President joyfully travels about the country making stupid racist comments with impunity. Everyone I know is fed up with the Democrat condescending attitude that they are so much smarter than everyone else. Keep crying “let them eat cake” and see where it goes.

I agree with you. Now days it seems that some prominent idiot spits an stupidity and then everyone associated with that individual, regardless of the nature of the association then is categorized as the dumb head.

Mr. Obama has the balls to come on national television and exploit the opportunity.

I will like Mr. Obama to come on national television an order the federal prosecutors to file charges against all financial executives who caused the financial mess we are in. They have raped this nation of our financial stability.

Some representative makes a stupid statement and it covers the news but the rape of the nation doesn't.

Oh! You can't tell a lib that there were problems with the GM bailout, or the cash for clunkers, or the billions in subsidies that went to the Chevy Volt.... or that the whole bailout structure was a scam to pass along some 40 to 50 billion dollars to GM... No, the bailout was one of the president's crowning achievements, and history will have to somehow write it that way!

A coworker had a sexual discrimination charge filed against him a couple of years ago by three women in our company. My question to the women was a simple one " He told an off color joke. I do that all the time so why did you file against him and not me or the other guys?" The answer was "We don't like him." Just the filing destroyed his career.

There is the problem with all of these types of discussions.

Don't blame this on Republicans. It is NOT the stance of Republicans on the subject. The whole Republican party, as well as the Romney campaign, have all come out against this idiot and his extreme statements. The Republican party is "asking" but actually demanding that he remove himself from his re-election race so someone with more sense takes his place.

It's so wildly wrong for anyone to say that it almost tops Biden telling blacks in a bad southern accent that Republicans are going to put "y'all" back in chains.
