Did you notice how many people said, "there's not a racist bone in Joe Biden's body." It's amazing how many Democrats came up with the same line at the same time!! If I didn't know better I'd think it was scripted. But if it was scripted I couldn't really believe it now, could I?

WTF does this have to do with Biden? He's the Democrats problem. The Republicans' problem is that they can't keep all their clowns in the car. Sometimes they get out and then the media circus becomes a three-ring extravaganza.

Sorry....you set this up...The problem with the Democrats' clown is that he's the Vice President.

Great tactic. You have no answer to the topic, so you change the subject. This thread was not about Joe Biden. It was about the reprehensible attitude of the Republican Party as represented by the comments of a complete moron. But who cares about that when you can change the subject and get in a zinger at the vice president?

he did indeed put both feet in his mouth.i have some objections to abortion but they nothing to do with religion.there are also times when i agree with abortion, thankfully i don't have to make that decision for others.as i see it, {if you belive in full right to choose, any reason counts}. {if you belive in right to life, only the life of the mother justifies it}.

As a Christian I would like to find out how
many of the millions of innocent babies aborted
here in the U.S. were related to the life or death
of their mother..Here in Louisiana our Congress
repersentive voted against a law that would have
stoped a women from having an abortion because she
would have wanted a girl instead of a boy.
Sort of make me sick to my stomach.

SteveR did not change the subject. You Democrats want to paint the entire Republican Party as having the same "reprehensible attitude ". Before the end of the day you will be referring to the Tea Party and the Conservatives in the same way. Biden makes really racist remarks, all the time; Clinton is impeached for his actions against women, lying to Congress, sighted for contempt for lying to a judge during his trial for attempted rape, accused by multiple women for groping them, Kennedy kills a woman, Hank Jonhson declares if we increase the number of personnel on Guam it could tip over, and on and on.

Todd Akin makes a really stupid comment and that is "about the reprehensible attitude of the Republican Party ". Akin has apologized many times and acknowledged his mistake. Which one of the above mentioned Democrats offered an apology for their stupid actions? I can't tell, between tschmath and greymule, who has the thickest skull. Maybe tschmath can use his math skills to compute how much denser the average Democrat skull is than a block of concrete.

The man doesn’t agree with abortion on demand, a CEO doesn’t agree with gay marriage, I don’t agree with taking advantage of an employee in the Oval Office or the President of the United States lying almost every time he opens his mouth. Again you Democrats want us to understand that any attitude that is different than yours indicates a lack of intelligence and membership in some sub-human species.

Here's a flash: a great many Americans don't approve of abortion on demand or gay marriage or banning Christian children from praying or talking about their God in school while other religions can spread their prayer rugs and have at it. A great number of us are fed up with being called racist if we disagree with the President while the Vice-President joyfully travels about the country making stupid racist comments with impunity. Everyone I know is fed up with the Democrat condescending attitude that they are so much smarter than everyone else. Keep crying “let them eat cake” and see where it goes.

This was the view and opinion of one man, not the Republican Party. Republicans are in agreement with the Democratic party on asking this man to step down from the republican race in Missouri. He does not represent the views of the Republican Party, or of conservative people. Rape is rape, there are different degrees of rape, but in the end it is still rape.
Of course, the liberals will jump on this and use it for propaganda and try to represent all conservatives as back woods hillbillies who think like this man does. Huffington Post is a liberal propaganda agency, nothing they report can be taken with a grain of salt.

May I remind those to whom it is appropriate that we live in a Democratic Republic which upholds Democracy, NOT Theocracy.
God, does not vote in our country and has no right to vote. Therefore a legislator has no right to impose his/her idea of what "God" wants on the rest of the country. Todd Akin should be bounced out of the Republican Party. I suppose this jackass also believes that a womans guardian angel resides in her vagina. How else would she be able to expel the evil seed of the devil sent rapist. Anyone defending Akin must be as ignorant as he is. As for free speech ... fine, he is free to make an ass of himself by spewing his garbage wherever he likes, EXCEPT in legislative functions. He has overstepped his bounds. The legal definition of rape is adequate without the insertion of Mr. Akin's refinements.

Ted, I agree with your every comment except those pertaining to Akin. He is as ignorant and impenetrable as Tommy, the math jerk you refer to and greymule. The difference is, it is their right to display their prejudices here and parade their socialist flags in front of us. It is not Akins right to legislate from the Bible. Appologies aside, Akin has shown what he is and what he is, is astoundingly stupid.

this has been a theme of the Republican party sense the primaries. Ryan and akin has proposed bills on the definition of "forcible rape". My question is would you like one of your loved ones to have a trial with a judge who was helped to be appointed by one of these guys.

You have a point. All I was trying to say is that this is his opinion. He said that he was just repeating something he read in a "scientific" study. However, the problem is that we make these guys put their hand on a bible to be sworn into office. Then we talk about the need to separate Church and State and expect them to disregard their religious beliefs. Many people want to make a big deal about Obama’s religion, if we could determine what it is. Some states like Missouri still put a great deal of confidence in the religious beliefs of their representatives. California seems to put a great deal of faith in spaceships from a planet dedicated to hedonism and Nancy Pelosi. Go figure!

We say that everyone is entitled to their opinion and I am agreed with that except for congressmen. Their job is to represent the opinions, wants and needs of the people that voted for them. Their personal opinion or believes should be kept private. That is where he screwed up unless he is repeating the opinion of the people of Missouri.
