I downloaded Luminar 3 and when I opened it, it looks like it imported all my photos (don't like that - don't want them all in Luminar). I didn't investigate too far because it is slow, but looks like all my photos are in there 3 times.
I then downloaded the update, which is supposed to take care of duplication?, and I still see three of each photo. Anyone know 1)How do I get rid of the duplicates? 2)As an alternative, how do I uninstall the current Luminar3 and reinstall later? Anyone think that will fix the duplication - starting over from scratch?
I'm using Windows10
I had the same triplication when I put my photos in Apple's iCloud and have no download of any Luminar version. What computer operating system are you using?

I found the same problem, and I so not like the duplication, thankfully, I didn't remove Luminar2018.
I recently updated from Luminar2018 to Luminar 3. On first launch, it asked me where my digital files were located. Then it opened them with duplicates (2 identical files, side by side).
Didn't have time to mess with it. Please let me know if anyone has a remedy.
Luminar 3 is a nightmare.
Was not ready to be released.... more Beta than prime time. They are trying to fix but it will be a month out to get right.
The library function is weak at best and no where near Lightroom and is useless.
Luminar 2018 works. Stay with it for now.
Until they prove they got it right the best thing too do is avoid this release.
It is slow to load and their use of AI leaves a lot to be desired.

Skylum just release a bug fix update, check your help menu for the check for updates. You should also have received an e-mail notice on the subject.
Luminar 2018 and the new Luminar 3 along with all their previous iterations originally was MAC only with Windows being added to increase sales and or a base. I waited through most of 2018 to get the D.A.M. promised. It is not ready for prime time on Windows 10. I don't think it will ever be ready for Windows 10 because the emphasis is on Mac only or so it seems. The bottom line for me is if you have a Mac it is a fine program to use. It is not so fine for Windows and actually feels like adding Windows support was an afterthought. I am only out $70.00 or so but I still have the license. I am not going to hold my breath or wait any longer for fixes to problems this program has. Light Room or Photo Shop here I come. I abhor the thought of paying monthly fees but post processing without digital asset management that works is of prime importance to me.
I found that by closing all apps running in background it improved the speed. Not perfect but much better
Yes, Luminar 3 is slow to open, slow to operate, and doubles and triples images. The program has potentials, but still has many kinks to iron out. I hope Skylum software engineers will get going, and provide us with the program they promised.

I have run into the opposite as a problem! I CAN'T, upload my photos to 3!! Also, it freezes. Definitely, stick with 2018 for now, would bemy recommendation. At least that all seems to work just fine with no issues.
Wow! All these problems......I have it and love it! Works great for me! and no duplications! Just was slow to download.
You lucked out, Dino! Pass on the secret(s)! to the rest of us.
GEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZ! Does sound like it is all over the map. Issues from one end of the spectrum to the other. But this is not the first time Luminar has rolled out a new program with issues. At least for me. But they always seem to straighten them out or I wouldn't keep coming back!
