Hi. How would you like to share your favourite landscape shot from 2018. Your favourite may not be your technically best shot, but it'll be interesting to see shots selected on the basis of our own preferences.

I like this shot because it responded well to the PP I gave it (not always the case ), it's my favourite type of scenic and it has the basic ingredients (foreground, mid-field and distance) plus a distinctive subject, some natural framing and exceptional lighting.

I really like the bit of water in the mid-ground to give dimension and scale to the entire image. Beautiful!

Been very light on for photography this year, and extremly light on for 'scapes (only two, from this location, all year).
This one is at Kendalls beach, Kiama, about 5 mintes walk from our our childrens home. Shot on a cloudless day in winter.

Nice spot. I'd have to go a couple of thousand miles south before I could go sunbathing in winter .

For us it is about 1.5 hours drive time (mostly country driving) from home.
It is a very nice spot, and Bombo is very close! (I will post some pics in another thread).

Excellent composition.

My favorite shot of the year was a shot at Mt Rushmore in South Dakota. It was a beautiful fall morning, air was crystal clear. I finished the image in Photoshop with Landscape Pro to add clouds to the sky, and blended via layering to make the clouds look more realistic, then Topaz Adjust to bring out hidden detail and colors in the rock face. ALso happens to be the first image I sold on Adobe Stock.

I can see why you like this one. Strong colours, strong details, good perspective. It looks like the faces would respond well to a boost in contrast to bring out the features.
