And my wife wonders why I call them PUKERS!!
A few day ago, before my puker died, there was a topic about insurance on cameras and equipment. The puker ate it.
If it's not too much trouble for ya, could someone possibly send me that edition of Ugly Hedgehog, i.e. repost it?
Many thanks in advance.skip

Dude - - just cuz your puker died - doesn't mean your data is gone.
When you get a new Puker - and I know you will - cuz we can't live without them - take your old data disk drive and either install it as another internal drive in your new puker - OR - put it into an external disk enclosure and attach it by USB or eSATA to your new puker.
-
ALL your old data / information should be available on your old disk drive {provided it was not that hard disk that failed in the first place - - :shock: }

Had my girl friend take back a brand new in the unopened box super gizwilly HP, then got a Mac "mini"...loves it, thanks me continuously for steering her to the Mac, and now she has been instrumental in her son purchasing an all in one, with an I-Pad, and her other son has an I-Pad, and she now too, has an I-Pad.
In my opinion, APPLE, the better way !

In my opinion - this is not the question the OP asked and not the place for a Crapple vs PeeCee debate. MACS are great - as long as you are content to do it their way. PCs are great if you like to do it YOUR way. I love my iPhone and iPad - they do exactly what I want them to do. I also love the 10 open architecture Winblows PCs that I built. My Win 3.11 PC still runs the apps I installed on it in the 1990s !!
Now - if you have some helpful comments that might assist the OP recover his data - feel free.

Go for it, as I wouldn't want to stand in your way, as you seem to have all of the answers!
