One way to find a rip-off store is to check accessory prices.
Camera prices may be well below normal, but batteries and memory cards may be twice or 3x the price of other stores even for non OEM stuff. That’s a clue that the cameras may be gray market.
Interesting and accurate comment. I have two epson printers, a 3880 and an R2000. I have compared OEM ink tank costs and Amazon is at least three times the cost of B&H. And I don't think B&H is as much discount as it once was, but really, something there that sells for just under $20 at B&H is over $70 on Amazon. And I do understand that Amazon has some sort of creepy dynamic pricing system where the price I see may be different from what you see.
I remember dealing with this shyster outfit in 1985, trying to buy a really attractively priced telephoto for my Nikon F. My daughter had just been born and we were cash strapped. The fellow on the phone kept trying a bait and switch. After about ten minutes, I decided this was an outfit to avoid at all costs. Sadly, they still have a prey base that enables them to stay in business. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM, EVER!!!
Got my d750 from them 2 years ago no probs

Why are they allowed to advertise on UHH if they aren't legit ?
Are you talking about the Pop-up ads you see while on the UHH? Those are generated by your own Browser history or use. I get B&H Photo ads every day while on the UHH since I also visit the site often on purpose. I'll get (pop up browser) advertisements for The Smashing Pumpkins and John Coltrane Music, I'll bet you don't. This it a normal or typical feature of the WWW. Google, FB, Cookies, we have virtually no privacy on the WEB. Some of us even notice getting the "same" ads on both our computers and TV at the same time or one after another. You are being watched, and it is Microsoft, Apple, Google, FaceBook, etc., not really likely the NSA or CIA! Merry Christmas.
As one guy said. “Santa knows if you’ve been good or bad, but Google knows a lot more.”

I get the Coltrane and jazz ads, and of course, all the photo ads.
But I swear I have never ever searched for mail order brides. I’m quite happy with the one I have, and I picked her up in person. 😎

I’ve already apologized for the tone of my comment. Apparently I wasn’t the only one who gets a little bit out of sorts over this, but i could have said the same thing without the tone.
