Great sets, as always (or "almost" always! ;) ) Linda.

The third image is my favorite. But you have the "eye" that only a few have. No matter the original viewpoint.

Thank you for sharing the images you do. I don't know whether your realize what an inspiration you are to so many Hoggers…

All beautiful, Linda, but I love the natural high key effect of #4.

I love them all, but the first one really draws me in. It shows the texture of the snow, on the ground, and the mountains, in the distance, are the prize for taking the trip down the path between the rows of trees. This may be what many talk about, when they say the leading line should lead the viewer TO something, rather than merely into the scene. (I also enjoy leading lines whose only goal is to lead the viewer into the scene.)

All are very nice but I agree that number one is the best composition with that wonderful tapering “line” that leads your eye.

Really like the 3rd one Linda. To me, the blue monochromatic really makes it feel like a cold winter day. Bev

Love the slightly off center point of view in faithful #1, and the treatment of fanciful #4!

The first and third shots do it for me. The first is a orderly image. All the ducks in order. Well in this case all the trees in order. The third one for the look of winter and tone of the trees and snow.

Your impressions over the years have given me a clear and very pleasing sense of your place, and I am grateful. I like these all very much. I have always been comforted by the orderliness of orchards and vineyards! Merry Christmas my friend and a wish for a healthy and contented new year. Thanks so much for making UHH a better place!

I really like the first one. The colours are charming and the shadows across between the trees are really nice. I feel like they're more accented in the first than in the other images.

A very nice set; I especially like the third one.

I grew up in the Santa Clara Valley before it became silicon valley. The soil is some of the best in the world and the climate is ideal for growing fruit. The big business in the valley was agriculture, primarily fruit orchards. In spring the valley was covered in blossoms and was beautiful. The primary fruits were cherries, prunes and apricots. We had a prune and cherry orchard behind us and I picked prunes a couple of summers as a young teen. Most people don't realize that San Jose had a population of less than 100,000 in 1950 (it's now about a million). The one thing we didn't have was snow, so your photos, while familiar, are different than my memories.

Thanks very much for your comments! So glad the photos brought back a few memories. The orchards do make for wonderful spring color photo ops.
