I have An Epson Artisan 1430 printer and have used original Epson up until now. The cost of the six ink cartridges has varied from $80 something up to $130 something. The latest from Amazon was $175.00. No way am I paying that kind of money. I've beginning to investigate ink tank systems such as XPROIV Series but am still concerned about off brand ink. Several reviewers who claimed to own my printer said the system works great and they can't tell the finished prints from Epson ink versions. I know that Epson does make some printers with the system built in but am wondering why they don't make an add on for existing machines. Have any of you used such a system and how has it worked out for you .

My usual print size is 4x6" which I send to my tech challenged relatives. The printer does an excellent job and sends directly to the address I specify at a cost of $0.15 per print plus a small shipping fee. In addition I can get nearly any size or surface that I want at very reasonable costs. Why would I want to do it at home?

Hi; I have only used Canon Printers for years and years. I purchase generic replacement cartridges from "
http://private.abacus24-7.com" for the same years and years. I have photos hanging on my walls for over ten years with no fading or any other problems. The cost per cartridge is so low I sometimes can't believe it. I can only suggest you check them out. I doubt I would still be printing without them.
