It's amazing what people can do with a spray can. There are a lot of murals in Kingston. I'll have to get in there and start taking pictures.

Thanks for taking a look Jerry. I didn't know that about Kingston. I'll check it out, thanks.

I like this. Including the scaffolding gives the artist's image some context as a street shot, and not just a photo of the artwork itself. You made this one interesting!

Hi. One of the things I enjoy photographing are the many scenes one can find in urban areas. When I saw this on a Manhattan street, the grunginess and the way the face was framed by construction scaffolding made me think it might make for an interesting image. What do you think? Interesting or just a snapshot?

Critique, comments and suggestions welcomed. Thanks

My first reaction...as with any image...is based on impact.
This one struck me emotionally as a unique and touching memorial to a person.
Exposure is good, and the impact I got trumps any consideration of the associated distractions you couldn’t avoid ... nor could anyone walking by avoid in viewing that memorial painting.

Thank you for sharing your response to the image. Street Art can have emotional underpinnings at times and I agree that impact should be a very important part of any photo.
