Refusing to follow the 100% legal rules of your workplace is the issue. If you don't want to follow the rules that your BOSS puts in place, you can righfully EXPECT to be fired. This is literally no different than refusing to come to work on time.

While I think the whole thing is weird, I say call the kid the name she wants. It isn't as if everyone can's see that the female is still a female but if she wants to be called George, call her George. Wonder what restroom she is using? Until recently thanks to progressiveness, Gender is now fluid. YOU are what you FEEL. Isn't that special? I remember a few years ago watching the indoctrination process begin. They started having transgender tv shows designed to get you to like the character, thus change your thinking. Did the same thing with gay couples. The media manipulates what and how we think, or at least tries to. Some are easily manipulated, others not so much.

Rose, This whole issue comes from the lib fascist progressive socialists and their "everyone is equal and included, we don't want anyone offended". They have already decreed that gender is fluid. How do you propose it be fixed?

Little Frankie, I think you are off on another subject because you cannot say anything on the topic that makes sense. So, lets get back on the topic. If I look at a person and see a WOMAN, but I am forced to refer to him as a MAN, when I can clearly see he is not, how is that fair to my rights and my freedom of speech?

Other than no one acknowledging anything but the truth - two genders - I don't know how to fix it. I see it becoming more acceptable because when lies are repeated loud enough and often enough people start to believe them. I forget who said that. lol

Its a sign of moral decay in our society.

There's no evidence that hate played a role in this teacher's actions Frank. The teacher has a legitimate christian belief that doesn't allow him in good conscience to use a pronoun for a student he always referred to as a female. It begs the question: is the school board anti-christian??

The teacher screwed up in his own defense by citing 'religious beliefs'. Even if religion had not already been eradicated from public schools, it's an anathema to the ruling class of the left-dominated education system. I'd suggest the teacher would have had a case citing free speech rights and the inability of anyone to compel speech, but the active left are protesting constantly to do just that, compel speech, and when possible, riot to silence speech with which they disagree, so maybe not.

At least I still have time to be offended by Christmas holiday music made 70 years ago.....

For the life of me, I do not understand the harm in using the student's new (and presumably preferred) pronoun. On the other hand, the harm inflicted by the teacher not using the preferred pronoun should be obvious.

The teacher should be focussed on education, not gender identity politics.
