It's a nice subject but I think the bokeh could do with softening.

Try cloning out the yellow flower at the bottom. I find it rather distracting.

Either loose the leaves or catch both. The partial leaf adds to the distraction. I think you had to forgo some of the more intense bokeh to get the depth of field on the flower, well done. I would have removed the yellow flower if it were my garden. ;-)

Thanks RG, that's a valid point.

You are right Amersfoort. It has been cloned out by another member where I posted the photo to the general gallery. I does look much better. Thanks for the observation.

I think it's quite lovely. The yellow flower is ??, but I probably wouldn't get rid of it. My only niggle with the image is the missing part of the leaf. In a perfect world it would be there. If you have cropped the image and inadvertently cropped it off, can it be replaced? If not, oh well. It is what it is.

Thank you for your critique, unfortunately even without the crop the missing leaf was not in the frame. Like that word niggle!

For me the photo is a bit too busy. I would crop the specific flower vertically from just above the large purple flower (in the bokeh) to just below the large purple flower above it. Leave out the yellow flower and leaves at the bottom. Horizontally I would crop from the included purple flower just above the left hand corner of the specific flower to the right. The flower would be the star attraction with a purple flower framing each side. I hope that is understandable.

Very understandable Dennis. Thanks for the detailed critique. It is too busy.

If it were mine I would consider cropping it in half almost, turning it into a vertical format and just clipping the full leaf so it also was cut off. I think I would leave the yellow flower. It doesn't bother me because of the shades of yellow in the background. Just my thoughts.🙂

So far all of the critiques have addressed post processing and editing. I think the real problem with this photograph occurred before the shutter was pressed. You have a lovely subject here (I love flowers) but I question the camera position which conceals much of the beauty of the flower. A higher angle would have revealed the beautiful centre of the flower and allowed you to eliminate many of the vivid, and distracting, flowers in the background. Depending on how you positioned the camera, the yellow flower would be gone. But I have just done what I often object to - critiqued the picture you didn't take. To salvage this one I would radically crop until the pink blossom covered more than 50% of the image, then I would dodge those very dark flowers in the background until they cease to overpower the subject.
