That's pretty nice shooting with that Sony Bridge camera. And the zoom capability is remarkable for one little lens. Nice work sir. Thank you.

Very good shots Jim... how long have you had the Sony RX10 Mk III? It seems to have a lot of good points. If you could, what would you change on the camera... in other words what are its shortcomings?
Thanks,
Bruce

Nice to hear from you Bruce, missed seeing your posts. I read where you've been busy. Glad to hear that. I bought this camera in Mid-February 2017 and have used it just about everyday since. Not sure what I'd change. Of course we all want better performance out of our cameras. The Mark IV version focuses faster and better so that's already been fixed. I did read an article where a Sony rep said he believed small sensor technology will vastly improve and surpass FF sensor performance someday. Claiming small sensors are where the money and research is being spent due to the explosion of cell phones. I don't know Bruce. That's a good question. I think I'll just leave improvements up them.

Hope it's OK to post these...I sure don't mean to offend anyone. Just thought some of you would enjoy seeing my shots from the Christmas Concert we attended over the weekend. For me...I get the best of both worlds. I love music and I love photography, so these events are so much fun. I have a couple more concerts to attend this Christmas...Woo Hoo. Hope you enjoy these and I want to wish you all a wonderful, loving, safe and healthy and merry Christmas Holiday season. I took these a long ways off from the stage. We sat in the back of the upper balcony. These feature Christ Church Choir, local area children's choirs and special guest singer Sandi Patty and her family. Oh and if you curious to hear a video taken of this Choir...the best I can do is offer this one taken in 2009, it gives you a feel for what it's like to be at this annual concert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jygFQrvkcA

These shots are very good. I am a sports photographer and I always enjoy other kinds. Nice work for sure. You must have steady hands.

Well done "James56!" Love the photos, so celebratory and colourful. They really give the viewer the sense of "being in the moment" alongside you. That Sony sure does a nice job under subdued lighting. As far as Christmas is concerned. I trust that the celebration of any spiritual event would not be offensive. For the 2.3 Billion Christians of this world, the mere mention of the word Christmas conjures the greatest event in history. So keep on shooting...

Merry Christmas!

Thanks Jules, I am gifted with steady hands, a blessing I cherish. I see your from Las Vegas, the photo ops you encounter are amazing. I spent 3 days in Vegas (2011) and left feeling empty...not because of the city, but because I knew I was leaving a beautiful place and knew I'd probably missed some amazing shots.

Oh, Merrytexan from Georgia...,I'm no different than you. I love life, carry a camera with me all the time. The world is our stage. Photographers seem to appreciate everything they encounter. I see so much of your wonderful take on life and all of it is good. Thank you MT.

The whole area is beautiful Jules...but I do wish we'd visited Red Rock. Instead (with limited time) we opted to see Hoover Dam. The sad thing about life is...there's just not enough time to take in all the beauty this planet offers. On a side note...I miss listening to Art Bell from Pahrump on Coast-to-Coast AM. He was an amazing late night talk show host.
