First is it reasonable to enlarge a shot from this camera to this size the pixels per inch is about 180? will it look good?
at 300 pixels per inch the size is 18.5x 12.3 or 18 x 12
...yes...I’ve gone to 24x36 with excellent results...

home brewer, Costco has an excellent service. I have used them quite often. Last time I ordered a 24x36 metal print and came out very good.
Your answer will depend more on image quality (technique, lighting, composition, sharpness, etc) than on the resolution of the camera sensor. Your D500 is up to the challenge if you are.
Yes it will go VERY large as long as you have an excellent file to begin with..Do make sure you deal with any possible "noise" issues before you send it out.. If you use Topaz Denoise, and AI Gigapixel, your 300dpi image quality at 20x30 and larger should very closely mimic a 12x18" print!! This D500 is one amazing piece of equipment!! Good Luck!!

Campus Camera in Kent Ohio can do that size. Their processor's name is Sue and she can be very helpful. And you talk with a real person. I send her my images on a flash drive as I shoot with a D850 and my Raw files and emails do not get along.

Should be able too get that size picture printed
I am using lightroom and photoshop to edit the raw photo; what should i save the file as.
I use Sam's photo lab for prints that size for my Art Association. They are very affordable and good quality. But the print is only as good as your photography. I'm sure you will be happy with it.
Save a RAW but use a JPeg to transfer the file to the print company.

I just used them to make a 20x30 metal print of a landscape jpeg from my D500 and it looks perfect.
