I just bought the f5.6 200-500mm Nikon. Upgraded(?) from the 200-500 Tamron 1st generation I guess. About 10 year old lens anyway.
The Nikon is great! Sharp to the full zoom 500mm. Auto focus is instantaneous. VR works very well. I'm even shooting handheld which I swore I would never do. I LIKE it!

I must confess, I am also guilty of gifting myself with a 14mm Samyang AF lens, and a battery grip for my 5D MkIV. Happy Holidays!
