I do trust, for the most part one or two
others, but not many.
Seems you ought to trust stuff backed by
users' specific experience. For instance, I
really don't imagine you "distrust" due to
folks intentionally lying to you. I suppose
you distrust the members' claims to know
what they're talking about. I don't blame
you. That is very WELL FOUNDED distrust.
Bogus claims of expertise overflow the
sewers around here :-(
OTOH, if someone tells you that they have
regularly
used their shaft driven AF lenses
on their D750 and D610, then those would
be well informed members, not just poorly
informed "advisers" who "know" only what
they read somewhere [maybe here ... god
help us]. Problem with "read only" type of
of "advisers" is that they apparently have
reading comprehension problems reading
about stuff not familiar to them, and then
they pose online as experts.
Frinstintz, I use the following shaft drive
AF lenses on D750 and D610 bodies, with
full AF, metering etc. CAVEAT ! Altho these
lenses have normal f/stop rings,
on THESE
bodies you do NOT use the ring. You set
the minimum aperture and always control
the f/stop using the in-body controls.
If
you turn the f/stop ring to set your stops,
you will not get the expected result. Lenses
actually used [by me] no problem:
Sigma 28/1.8
Sigma 90/2.8M
Nikon 50/1.4
Nikon 60/2.8M
Not claiming to be a "Nikon Expert". Just
reporting what actually works in real life.
