Pat's,
This may have been said in another post.
I have successfully used Nikon AF lenses on Nikon D750 and D90.
I have also successfully used Nikon Series E lenses on the D750. Manual metering and focus, but they work well enough.

My experience with older lenses is with a few lenses that I had kept with the Frame of my film Minolta camera. I traced the histoof corporate Minolta and it of courtled to Sony. Several years ago I purchased a Sony A7. The information was conflicting on the use of Lens from a Minolta. I am pleased to report that they all function as they did on the Minolta , likely better. I have since purchased some more “specialty lenses”. I was careful about condition and of return policy. I squire a few more lenses at rock bottom prices that help produce excellent results.
