I have bought NEW, and seen it have problems,
Costco, Best Buy’s will exchsngeit for you, and you walk out with new equipment.
Fave it many camera stores will send it back to the manufacture.
Used, you get a discount, and to be hones, the risk is not there...with square deal..
I will take the risk, with Amex Credit Card Protection..
My used Camera Store Checks them out before they sell them,.
It is just good business...
Depends what level of used you buy. I never go below + or better. I have had excellent service from KEH, but Adorama is a legit dealer as well.
I have had good experiences with KEH, both in person and by mail.
B+H is a fine store. I would pay extra for a camera that has beenthat has a warranty period.
I bought an EOS 50D in EX condition from KEH in 2014 as my debut to the Digital world. It looked like new and was priced very well. I got good advice and knowledgeable suggestions from the staff. In face, the man went and got the item and was holding it and telling me what and why this copy was a good purchase. he was right. Be sure to actually call and talk tot hem. I've also bought accessories, including a B+W polarizer at 60% off list and perfect.
Any purchase gets researched at KEH first.

I have purchased a used Nikon camera from Adorama and am very pleased with it. I buy from B & H and adorama because both offer no questions asked returns provided that the item is returned within 30 days of purchase. Davidb1879

Right now, KEH has a 365-Day Warranty & Free Shipping for Orders Over $49.
B&H is listed in Consumer Reports as the #2 electronics retailer.
You can't go wrong with either. I've bought from both.
Both are good sources and will let you return if you’re not satisfied
Have fun!

KEH and Adorama have excellent reputations.
I have mainly purchased used from ADORAMA and B&H. An interesting issue popped up about a month ago; I had purchased a DEMO D500 from ADORAMA about 6 months ago and I thought it was a little noisier than I thought it should be. I sent it back and after a short discussion with Jack in Customer Service - He ask me if I preferred to exchange it with a like camera. I said yes I would and within 3 days I had a replacement D500. Now that is customer service. YEA ADORAMA!!!!
KEH and B&H both are very good for used equipment. I have also heard that MBP is very good both to buy and to sell.
KEH, Adorama and B&H are all safe and reputable. All three offer accurate equipment grading systems. KEH is offering a free one-year warranty and free shipping (orders over $49) through the end of December. I think that all three offer at least a minimum 30-day warranty. It is worth spending extra for used gear with them than risking purchase through eBay or a local classified website.
I have purchased a lens or two from KEH and also have sold to them when they came to Salt Lake City in the past. They thoroughly inspect gear before making an offer. I've purchased new gear from Adorama and B&H. Both offer excellent customer service and fair prices on new and used gear.
Cheers!
