thanks to everyone who are blessing my D700 camera , unfortunately for many people the only "reason to buy" is the number of megapixels , most probably for 80% of them it is enough a good smartphone that today has more megapixels of the camera
Anyone interested in you camera probably knows better.
exactly , and for me it is a good deal considering the condition of the camera that are very very good
It is not the same to fit 24 megapixels than 12 megapixels in the same size sensor. Those 12 megapixels are larger and fatter than the pixels in the 24 megapixels sensor. Light is collected better by the 12 megapixels and usually noise performance is excellent although it was for the technology at the time.
12 megapixels is more than enough for anyone and professionals still use the D700.

Don’t condemn this camera for having only 12 megapixels. It is one of finest Fx cameras that nikon ever manufactured. Well worth the asking price.

Buyer beware this is only a 12 megapixal camera,

today have double the megapixels starting with the
Nikon D 3200.
Clearly, a remark from one of those math-impaired
wannabees that thinks 24MP is twice the resolution
of 12MP. TWIMC it aint 2X, it's 1.4X, not really very
noticeable .... not to mention that bigger pixels are
far more important than <more> pixels when the
resolution is in the same order of magnitude [as is
the case here].
