I bought my first camera in the mid-'40s from an American Army Post Exchange when I was stationed in a small town in Germany near Heidelberg. BW film was the standard then. Much later when color became available, to me it was like the difference between a rainy and sunshiny day, and I've never looked back. Yes, BW has it's place with certain scenes, but color
reigns for me.
