I saw the "bog men" years ago when they were at the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh - it was a fascinating exhibit.
Yes....fascinating in a weird sort of way! Thought about posting around Halloween.....but it took this challenge to get me to do it. Thanks for your response. Bob
Here's the shot I have in my archives - taken December, 2000 using a PhotoSmart C200 (now that's old!!). Same fort (Fort Mantanzas), different guardhouse facing away from town.
P. 6 A few from the hutongs of Beijing. They have so many cars they have abandoned their traditional bicycles...and do not seem to have a place to dispose of them.
The last shot shows how they protect their wheels from dogs' lifting their legs.
Problem solving/Art with that last one. Too bad "progress" left all those bicycles behind. Great images!
These were taken along Dead Indian Road in Southern Oregon...a still alive working cattle ranch with things from the past still there. I can hear the Cowboys as they herded the cattle into the loading chute and the cattle dashing away in protest! As a side note there are two Mountain Bluebirds in pic#3...the male on the right rear corner & the female on the left corner pole. Gotta really enlarge to see them but they are my only pics of that bird . Taken with a Canon Elph 310 10X zoom handheld at max zoom. I'm glad they are even this good!

Well done! The close ups are very interesting and what a nice bonus to have the Mountain Bluebirds included!
Thanks for hosting a great challenge Haymaker. It's sure to be a big hit. I have a few to share..
That first image is awesome! Although a sad distinction of being the last barn. I wonder if the implement is a planter? The trees will be reclaiming what was made from their ancestors soon. Spent some time as a kid performing dares on a train trestle. How wonderful to locate the final resting place of family! Great set!

Love the moodiness of the fog and worn stone work!
