I believe that if you take a look at the case brought against the State of Pennsylvania, the state could not produce one bit of evidence for even one case of voter fraud and couldn't even present one witness to justify their position. That is not made up. Look it up.

Hey Troll:
If you're against voter ID, you're for VOTER FRAUD. End of discussion.

Now that's intelligent. What did I do to you to elicit that type of response? Please look at overthemoon's post for an example of how to conduct some research on a topic. I'm assuming your outburst is because your father just took your car keys away so I'll forgive you.

overthemoon is a communist. An on the bottle communist. Lying and cheating, cutting and pasting communist crap. They do not care one bit about the future of the kids of America as long as they get what they want from the government. "Ask not what your government can do for you" has no meaning to them.

As far as voter fraud goes, it's been in the news here in Texas in every major election. Despite the fact that there aren't prosecutions, we have quite a few dead folks voting.

And if you can get to the voting booth, you can get to the DMV.

That's not factually correct.

I think it was in Texas that a woman had her son vote in place of his father, who later showed up to vote himself only to find someone had voted in his place.

In poor communities they get volunteers to go get them and the elderly

Also a lot of polling places are in walking distance not so much the DMV and if your older you might not have ID because you don't drive anymore then there are the elderly that where born during the racial minority divide where birth certificates wernt issued. Really doesn't matter the reason. It violates amendment 15 voters rights

Isn't that a great idea!! Volunteers can help them get their i.d.'s!! If they need to obtain documents like birth certificates or social security cards, volunteers or even better FAMILY MEMBERS...can help them obtain the needed documents. Remember the voter registration drives? I'm sure volunteers could put together a machine to help any individual in need of obtaining a photo i.d..

As far as old individuals driving, the DMV issues non-driving id's as well as driver's licenses. As far as birth certificates, Pennsylvania was not Mississippi.

Do you realize that Pennsylvania has put a process in place so that a birth certificate is not needed? The state will provide a free ID to anyone who signs an affirmation that he needs it to vote, requiring only a Social Security number and two proofs of residence.

It's mute and not constitutional and the dumbest idea ever put forth there is plenty of evidence that supports that voter fraud in almost none existence. The state of Penn head of congress on record said it's a good thing this law passed because now mitt will be elected. So big money and congress with the right people can buy an election. I don't care what part I belong to it's just wrong and once again a violation of amendment 15. It's a democracy in America not Russia

A picture i.d. is required when you present your Medicare/Medicaid/Health Insurance card to the doctor. It's required if you drive. If you need to get notarized you need a picture i.d. If you need a passport you need a picture i.d. and a birth certificate. It's almost impossible to get through this life without a state issued picture i.d. So what's the big deal?

There are some religons that won't allow themselves to be photographed. What about them?

The followers of those religions also do not take part in secular politics, i.e.- They don't vote anyway.

Then you must not ever go to the doctor, or have anything notarized. It is law that a notary public see your picture ID before she/he can notarize for you. They have to be able to swear in court if the need arises that you are who you claim you are, and that you proved you are who you claim you are at the time the document was notarized. And as far as it being proposed just to repress the poor, black community, I call bullsh#$ on that. I am so tired of hearing liberals pulling the race card every time they do not agree with something, but cannot say why. It is a proposal to prevent non US citizens (illegals) from voting, because they have voted. They do not have the right to take part in our political system, they are not citizens.

You are just one of those self made people who gives a rats ass about other people who may want a break once in awhile. People who are going to school who are on a very tight budget, the elderly who are going to have to give up some of their prescriptions to pay for a photo I.D. so they can vote. You may not know this but it is happening all over this country. No you just don't give a rats ass because you are probably the well to do who doesn't care about the less fortunate. These people who I'm describing are the real true Americans oif this country and deserve the right to vote too.
