A store may be a Nikon/Canon dealer and sell BOTH US cameras and gray-market cameras - so make sure you get what you think you will be getting. Often the gray-market cameras and lenses are bundled with 3rd-party insurance for non-Nikon repair services - so if they tell you it comes with a warranty, make SURE that it is a Nikon warranty.
One bad review out weighs 100 good ones. You may be the one giving the second. Why chance it?

I have found on Amazon a Nikon D500 that seems to have a good price and includes some things that are attractive to me: battery grip, extra batteries, etc. It is sold through Beach Camera, and Amazon states it is an authorized Nikon USA dealer. Does anyone have any experience with Beach Camera? Thanks!
A number of years ago, I purchased a P & S Nikon P1 from Beach. No problems. It was a phone - mail order that was delivered on time with no issues.
My son bought from them a few years ago. It was not a very pleasant experience. It could be different now with Amazon but as has been said, make sure it is no gray market.

They are a third party seller for Walmart.com, Amazon and others, and delivered what I ordered on several occasions. A Superzoom Bridge camera, some lights and a couple other small items. No issues, since it was via Walmart, I'm not sure how (or how well) an issue would have been handled. If you have doubts, pay a few extra dollars for a vendor that you are more comfortable with. I would also look hard at the packaged "extras", are they good, high quality items, or cheap filler (brand names versus "never heard of", etc.). A couple hundred dollars worth of quality extras could be good, if it is stuff that you don't already have (which is why I avoid most of those "packaged extras"). Cheap card readers, cheap cards, cheap cleaning kits, flimsy tripods, cheap strobes, cheap bags, etc. etc. are all a dime a dozen.....if they add to your needs great, in my case it is stuff that I already have, and I probably have better versions.......
Beach camera is a brick & mortar, as well as an internet store. It is located on Rt. 22 in Greenbrook, NJ. It's been around for many years. It's about 6 miles from me. It is an authorized Canon dealer.

I thought they had a physical location, couldn't remember where (to lazy to look it up!!!). I think I remember seeing them in the photo magazines, when the mags were still around.
When I retired 12 years ago, I bought my first DSLR and lenses from them and had good nothing but good experience with them . I dealt with a guy named Ray who was very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with. As a new comer to the photo world I called them several times for advice and they very nice and helpful.
I’ve bought from them several times over the past few years , never a problem
I have bought some refurbished Nikon lenses from Beach Camera. They came in the boxes Nikon uses for its refurbished lenses and the usual Nikon 90-day warranty.

Hey Wags, just a thought?? But if Beach Camera is selling through the Amazon website, don't they have to honor Amazon's no fuss 30 day return policy????

Thanks. Yes, I believe they do have to honor it. Well, I’ll know later today. I ordered the D500 from Beach through Amazon, and it is scheduled for Fedex delivery today.
I checked. Prices at B & H and Beach are identical!! I've purchased from Beach. They are reliable and honest. The store is located 8 miles from me.
