I started photography in 1966 film cameras of course. All these photos were made in HUE Vietnam about 50-60mi North of DaNagn 1968. I made these pictures with my new Minolta SRT 101 bought in Okinawa with a 50mm f1.4 $110.00 new! I was 20 years old in the making, now I am a disable Vietnam Veteran Agent Orange!
Still LOVE cooking! Please, try not to let bad things bother you! I cannot ran anymore and have paralysis on my left side hand and foot, so what! I do everything I want. It just takes me a little longer to do it, and, I'm left handed. Always be good not bad, and always think of Happy Thoughts! CIAO, AP

Excellent photos. The kiddo on the motorcycle is a long essay without words.
Thanks AP, we appreciate the sacrifice you've endured. And being positive is always the better way to enjoy life. Thanks for reminding us.

How long after Tet? Hue was not a place to wonder around as a GI tourist with a camera for quite some time. Tet was not anywhere nearly as bad in Qui Nhon where I was and we were restricted as to going into many parts of the city.
Bless you for your service. My best friend has complications from Agent Orange so I know what you are going through.
Great shots. I learned to shoot when in the Air Force and it became a hobby for life.
Thank you for your service.

Thanks for your service. Life was much better for me in Korea. I do think I still have my SRT 101. I was going to include a picture I took of Marilyn when she came over in 1954 but was unable to locate it. That Minolta was bougth later. I'm not sure it was around in 1954.

Thank you. I was on a Special Forces A-Team (Intel SGT) in the Highlands of VN and took lots of photos using a PenEE camera. Unfortunately when I split with my ex she destroyed or threw away the ones that I brought back. I wish that I had them now so that I could donate many of them to the Special Warfare Center Museum and the 5th Special Forces Museum that they plan to build. Happy Veterans Day to all.
