This mill is on the former property of Jim Kirby who was an inventor. He constructed this mill in 1922 to produce hydroelectric power for his home. It is the first of it's kind, designed so the weight is resting on ball bearings. And it could turn on just a trickle of water. His property is now a 336 acre park. I've been staring at these two photos since yesterday (well, not continuously...I did sleep!). I can't decide if I like the color better, or the sepia. Anyone have an opinion? Thanks!

I'd go with the color. Not enough contrast for monochrome and it gets a washed out look. Great photo Audrey.

Audrey, first consider this is coming from a primarily black and white photographer. I prefer the sepia but would suggest a bit of contrast to bring out the details and textures a bit more.

I like the fall and subdued colors in 1.

The color for a number of reasons already mentioned above. I love B&W, having spent many, many hours in the darkroom, but have never been a fan of Sepia.

color. However, if the sepia were lightened it might be more of a contest.

Very nice pics, my favorite is the color, but Tommy's edit is nice too.

The color presents a stronger three dimensions with the contrast between the colors. It also has the stronger geometric.

The sepia blends all together with no point of focus. Needs more separation of lines.

My vote is for the color. (I just got up. Still sleepy. )

Definitely the color. The other image looks like a black and white - not sepia.
