Says it's an "International Model" with an in-store one year warranty. That is Grey Market.
Gray market is the most likely answer. You're probably aware that reputable sellers - Adorama, B&H, etc - offer products on eBay.
That's always been my understanding - no warranty in the US for non-US market items. I've also heard talk that Nikon won't repair non-US items in the US.
Last year my D810 jumped off my tripod and did itself, and a 17-35 lens- considerable damage. Having purchased the camera while in Africa, there was no US warranty. Regardless, sent camera and lens (US model) in for repair and had no hassle at all. Thus, if your camera needs repair, even if gray market, send it in. Note that I made no warranty claim, and paid out of pocket... homeowner's insurance might have paid but, didn't persue that route. So, in my opinion, "gray market" ain't so bad.

It is my understanding that Nikon has changed it's grey market repair policy over the last few years. Traditionally, Canon would repair grey market, but not as a warranty issue. Nikon would not under any circumstances. Now, I understand that Nikon will also repair select grey market products, although, like Canon, not under warranty. I would guess that your D810 is one they will repair. Your outcome may have been different with a different model.
Perhaps someone has a list of what they will repair. Might be handy for anyone considering Nikon grey market.
Found out that if you send a grey market Nikon product to Nikon repair facility in Canada they will repair it no matter where it was purchased (for whatever the repair cost is).

The ad actually says International Model so its a grey market camera and Nikon in the USA will not repair it, even for a fee, unless their policy has changed.
Nikon D7500 DSLR Camera (Body Only) - International Model
Nikon En-EL15A Rechargeable Li-ion Battery
Nikon Charger
USB Cable
DK-28 Rubber Eyecup
Camera Strap
Body Cap
1 Year Limited Store Warranty
Elsiss

Grey Market and no kit lens- run away quickly.
As many have said, lower priced photo gear on Ebay is gray market; Nikon will not honor a warranty on gear sold outside of its network. The question is, are you willing to live with the possibility that your gear will malfunction and you won't be able to have it repaired? I am willing to live with that risk; I've purchased 2 gray market cameras and they are still functioning long after the Nikon USA warranty would have expired. What if they malfunctioned and I couldn't get them fixed? It's the risk I took and would have lived with and wouldn't complain about it.
I will add one more comment to this thread. Even on amazon there are a number of "legitimate" re sellers offering Nikon (Lumix, etc.) products for less than others. Then, when you look more closely, they are not "authorized re sellers", and stealthily fail to mention this, meaning that the product is "gray market".
I'll continue to buy via Ebay, every camera purchase I've made (3) have all been able to go on line (Canon) and register for warranty and not needed warranty service as products have been just fine. Don't know about Nikon. But also I have used same eBay store 6ave....
I would rather buy a used camera from Adorama than this camera unless you consider this to be a throw away.

Yep. That point has been raised repeatedly in this and other threads. Whether that policy is fair to Nikon's customers is another issue. Its not like these imports are stolen or counterfeit. They are genuine Nikon cameras and should at least be supported on a fee basis. How many unsuspecting Nikon owners innocently find this out the hard way? Seems to me it does more damage to their reputation than good. Canon will support grey market imports for a fee.
I've been using SLR's and DSLR's since 1975 and never had any of them break or need repair. (Pentax, Canon, Kodak, Panasonic, Nikon, Nikon)
While not worried about warrantee's so much, I probably would not buy a Nikon from gray market if they're refusing to repair them, and didn't make repair parts possible from 3rd parties. In other words, gray market would not bother me much at all, particularly if buying a Canon or other non-Nikon camera, if warranty were the only issue. A bigger issue might be what is in the box?
All this panic about Nikon warranty makes me wonder how bad some of these Nikon products are?

Another good point - I've never had one fail other than old age/wore out. However, as we have seen here, occasionally a camera will fail or break, and warranty could then be very important.
