I'd also recommend that you refrain from watching or reading any of those so-called unbiased news sources such as CNN, Wash Post and a host of other truth spinners. The truth isn't so bad, it's what they do to it that is scary when you consider these politico creeps can actually get by with with it. What does that say about our collective intelligence and our ability to read and reason?
My question is what are you afraid of. Your answer could take many forms such as fear of dying of cancer, drowning, small spaces, fear of losing a loved one, fear of going blind, fear the grocery store will not have your favorite cookie in stock, fear of firearms, fear of being robbed, fear of being raped, fear of fire, fear of being alone, fear of someone leaving you, fear of getting older and so on.
Your answer of, If you don't see it I do not want to be the one to shatter your sense of comfort and well being, has no meaning to me. You have no idea what I am afraid of. Nor should it matter as I did not make a general statement as you did. I am basically not afraid of much to speak of. When my fears arise, such as seeing a rattlesnake in very close proximity to my leg, I kill the snake and then my fears are over again. We all generally tend to handle our fears as they arise and move on.
I have never watched CNN in my life nor do I watch similar programs. I don't read any papers, don't have time. Our collective intelligence depends, for all of us, on what the subject matter is.
Just this morning I saw a report from the justice department that a man has come forward, with a male witness, saying it was he who had the sexual assault contact with Blasey Ford in the house 36 years ago. His male witness says the man is telling the truth. Just yesterday a woman who had accused Judge Kavanaugh of raping her, said she had lied to support the Democratic Party. In reality she had never even met Kavanaugh. It seems the Democrat assault on Judge Kavanaugh is falling apart, little by little and that Kavanaugh was totally innocent of all charges. Yet nobody from the Democratic Party has come forth to apologize. I doubt they ever will. The Hollywood types who swore that women should always be believed are not saying much either even though it seems that every woman who testified against Kavanaugh was a liar who should be put on trial.
Collective intelligence should dictate that from Diane Feinstein (at least) down to the lowliest Democrat who swore that Kavanaugh was guilty should be apologizing to him, begging forgiveness. But we know that won't happen. Unfortunately collective intelligence has not much to do with collective responsibility.
