I’ve got severe brain ache over this.

Looking for radio triggers for Nikon flash that will allow TTL, manual control, high speed sync and rear curtain flash.

Using Nikon SB800, SB400 and SB910 flashes and D850 camera . Miffed to find that the in camera flash control is not compatible with the 800 and 910. It works with the limited function SB400 and the expensive SB5000 which I do not want to buy.

Any of you huggers got any ideas ?

I just purchased a set of 1 transmitter and 4 receivers for my D700/D800/D1x/F5 and Nikon SB600 and 800 strobes. I purchase Godox equipment. It's easy to setup and works very well. These will also work with my Interfit studio strobes, as well. I've not tried a mix and match yet, but I'm sure that will work, too. I've not tried them on the F5 yet. So, that's still to be determined. The price was just over $200.

I've tried several brands, including Pocket Wizard, but the best bang for the buck is Godox.
The newer Pro Transmitter is well worth the slightly higher price.
Receiver HERE.
They have the most extensive line of lights and accessories. More HERE.

Another line to review are the Yongnuo Wireless Flash Controller & Wireless Flash Trigger Transceivers. I use these with my D610 - have had no issues and they're easy to use...

I use a PocketWizard Mini-TT1 (transmitter) on my camera and put my Nikon SB-700 flash on a PocketWizard Flex-TT5 (transceiver). These units transmit both the PocketWizard standard and the more complex controlTL channels simultaneously. This is good because you can trigger the PocketWizard TTL triggers and PocketWizard fire only triggers. I've had my SB-700 on a Flex-TT5 and a Plus III or Plus X connected to my studio strobe. The Mini-TT1 on my camera triggered both the SB-700 and studio strobe simultaneously.

Download the PocketWizard Utility to program and update the Mini-TT1 and Flex-TT5

I use the Godox trigger and receiver as well as the Odin, the Dodox triggers work well and are cheaper than the Odin.

I am very happy with my Odin system, and newer versions have come out since I bought mine. I would definitely take a look at them.

FYI, the Odin is a model made by Phottix. Rock- solid, dependable compact unit.http://www.phottix.com/?___store=en Like my Godox better as I have Godox flashes now with built in receivers.

I fire both of my SB 700s off camera from my D7200 on camera flash in Commander mode. Works well as long as the SB 700s are in line of sight. Even worked if only one was in line of sight, and the second in line of sight with the first one.

I've used that method on other cameras too, but...there is no built-in flash on the D850.

Lots of good brands being recommended on this topic. Godox is the new kid on the block and all who have them, including me, love them. My speed lights are Nikon SB 700 & SB 800 but I have the Godox trigger and attached Godox receivers to my two Nikon speed lights which I purchased a long time ago. If I had it to do over again, I'd save money and go with Godox speed lights also which have the receiver built into them which are radio, not the line-of-sight infrared.
