I've tried several brands, including Pocket Wizard, but the best bang for the buck is Godox.
The newer Pro Transmitter is well worth the slightly higher price.
Receiver HERE.
They have the most extensive line of lights and accessories. More HERE.

Many thanks for your help. I have decided to go with Godox. I went online and found that they have a showroom in the UK. And to make matters even better is about 4 miles from my home. So that has solved that .

Another line to review are the Yongnuo Wireless Flash Controller & Wireless Flash Trigger Transceivers. I use these with my D610 - have had no issues and they're easy to use...

Thanks for your help. The Yongnuo do get really good reviews. However , I have found that Godox have. showroom very near to where I live so have decided to go with the one that I can touch and feel !

I use a PocketWizard Mini-TT1 (transmitter) on my camera and put my Nikon SB-700 flash on a PocketWizard Flex-TT5 (transceiver). These units transmit both the PocketWizard standard and the more complex controlTL channels simultaneously. This is good because you can trigger the PocketWizard TTL triggers and PocketWizard fire only triggers. I've had my SB-700 on a Flex-TT5 and a Plus III or Plus X connected to my studio strobe. The Mini-TT1 on my camera triggered both the SB-700 and studio strobe simultaneously.

The pocket Wizards seem to have the greatest range of facilities and at some stage I reckon that I will "upgrade" to them . The new Multimax 11 has amazing capabilities . Your help has made it plain that the PW "stuff" can be used on a mix and match basis, looks so good.

I fire both of my SB 700s off camera from my D7200 on camera flash in Commander mode. Works well as long as the SB 700s are in line of sight. Even worked if only one was in line of sight, and the second in line of sight with the first one.

Thanks for your help. My problem is that the Flash Control in the D850 will work with the SB700 ( I don't have one ) but is not compatible with my SB 800 and SB 910s . So I now have Nikon flashes that can only be used if I use one of them in commander mode . If I do that I will need another flash. On top of that some of the modes available in the SB910 (rear curtain etc) can only be triggered in camera and the D850 will not do that . Feel like I have been conned a bit .

Many thanks . That level of capability in the Pocket Wizards is very impressive and eventually I realise that I will end up with pocket wizards at some stage. I have talked to the "product experts " at some stores and they just do not have the depth of knowledge that is needed to satisfy my relatively simple query. I accept that there is a massive range of equipment and its difficult but ..... ? The Pocket Wizard site is not a get deal of help but you have been a great help here .

PocketWizards operate on lower frequencies than other radio triggers. They use frequencies in the 340-354 MHz range in North and South America because it's the least crowded frequency range for that class of wireless devices. In Europe they use 433.62 - 434.22 MHz. Newer radio triggers like Phottix, Godox, Yongnuo, Vello use 2.4 GHz. PocketWizard brought a patent infringement law suit against Phottix when Phottix was about to release a 344 MHz Atlas radio trigger. Radios with lower frequencies will travel longer distances and penetrate through and around objects better than radios with higher frequencies.
