I would say that is true in reference to their older F* and FA*. Perhaps even some of the A* and M*.

I have shot Pentax for years. I still have my K1000, Super Program and a P/S film cameras. My ist DL died recently and I replaced it with a ist DS. The DL is being used as an organ donor for another DL so it will live on some more in a different body.

purchased my first dslr Pentax kr in January I had been using a nikon p500. I have all the bells and whistles for the camera if I could just learn how to use them.
I have been using Pentax from the H2 heiland to now with The K7 and all outhers, great camera 8-)

cgchief I have three Pentax cameras I use. The old one istD and a k10 and a k7 They all take great pictures. Would not trade them for any thing else. Have had pentax for many years film cameras on to digital. I love them.
I have a K-X here in Arkansas. I also have a Asahi Pentax Spotmatic F film camera that is like new.
