They won't even make Puerto Rico a state.
Republicans are whipping themselves into a xenophobic frenzy. The danger (in that) is apparent.

That lie has been slain before.
PR has voted against statehood many times.
Read a book.

I admit that your “proof” proves that I ask coorrect and that you are clueless.
Please just admit that you are desperately in need of being educated on the subject, then and only then can you actually learn.

Your own link proves my claim and destroys yours troll.
The closest PR has came to voting for statehood ... prior to their self produced fiscal crisis ...was the last one in 2012 where 54% voted to change the status quo and 46% voted to maintain it.
That does not equate to a vote for statehood as 39% of those voting to change the status quo rejected statehood.
Furthermore PR rejected statehood by ballot numerous times in the past and bothe DNC/RNC platforms in the US Zsupport PR ststehood.
Obviously reading a book was too large a task for you, so read your own link.

"A fifth referendum was held on June 11, 2017. Those who voted overwhelmingly chose statehood by 97.18% with 1.50% favoring independence and 1.32% maintaining commonwealth status; turnout, however, was 23%, a historically low figure.[10] This figure is attributed to a boycott led by the pro-status quo PPD party.[11]"
Abstaining is not no.
Facts? Invade Mexico?
What would we gain by invading Mexico?
