I skipped school a long ago to go to Fenway with a friend of mine. Sat in the Bleaches of course. About half way through the first inning my friend said don't Look now but your farther is coming up the stairs towards us. Thought Holy S**T we are trouble!! He just walked by and said hi boys. I figured when I got home I would be in for it. Supper came went without a word about the Game. Seemed rather strange that he didn't say a word! Then I got to thinking about and realized that he was a school teacher and my dad had skipped school to come to the game. He never mentioned it until I asked him about it years later he smiled and just said we sure love Fenway and the Red Sox! Sure wish he was here with me to watch the Sox!

Yup! ... and I was at Fenway Park last night with my son watching my Red Sox beat the Dodgers. GO SOX!

I went to college in the Boston area. My friends and I could get bleacher seats for $3.00. That was back in the days of Yaz and Ken Harrelson, etc. Late 60's & early 70's. Great memories.

Looks like he got hit in the Bedoingees. That tends to make a guy ignorant.

Gotta root for my Dodgers. Have rooted for "dem bums" ever since they came to LA. Hoping for them to come back and win the series in 7.

FYI: 81% of the time the team who wins the first two games wins the series.

Hi Joanne when it comes to baseball I’m the same fan I was when just a kid—meaning “it ain’t over until the fat lady sings”. (I could use Sandy,or Campy,or Jackie to name a few).

You sound like a Dodger fan. How sad we were as young boys when the Dodgers left Brooklyn. It was even worse when Campy had his accident. I remember yet being inspired by his autobiography, "It's Good to Be Alive." How is Sandy Kofax? Is he still around? Anybody remember when he and Don Drysdale carried the Dodgers on their backs?

Most definitely a Dodger fan.The first game I saw live was at Ebbets Field in ‘55. Koufax is alive and you probably will see him on the broadcast Friday from Dodger Stadium. What happened to Campy was a shame, but his will to
live and carry on with a smile was an inspiration to many people including myself.I remember most of the players
from Campy’s era and Koufax’s as well.I loved Lasorda as a mgr.I’m a fan but realistic-the Sox are real good and ahead
2 games to none.

Middle of the 6th in game 3. The Ks are mounting and TV just showed Sandy Koufax applauding.
👏👏👏👏👏

Sandy is Dodgers version of DiMaggio when he was with us—they both aged gracefully.

I agree. Too bad Don Drysdale died so young.
