I'm not sure what is happening in this photo, and the caption doesn't help clarify it.

Hi thanks for asking-the equipment that baseball catchers typically wear;mask, helmet, shin protector, chest protector, throat guard, etc are known in baseball parlance as “the tools of ignorance”.With all the equipment the player
in red was wearing he still got “dinged-up” by a foul ball.

As a Dodger and Kershaw fan last night was hard to take. That being said there’s nothing better than going to Fenway
with your son or daughter,so you must be on cloud nine.

As a catcher in my youth, I can empathize.

Someday, I want to go to Fenway Park. I still miss Tiger Stadium. Comerica Park is beautiful, but there is just something about the old ball parks. Maybe the history that resides there?

BTW, I am rooting for the American League! Go SOX!!!

My hope is for seven games of great baseball in 2 of the three oldest ball parks.

Great pic. I'm watching the World Series while surfing UHH. I was hoping someone would post some baseball pics.

Spent many days of my youth in that grand old ballpark. Do you remember the twilight double headers they played there?
Also rooting for the Sox's!

Catchers are always in a dangerous place. Nice “catch."
