I expected to see a plant like a Vermillion Fly Trap!! Now that I am at your thread, I will appreciate the colorful bird.
Jak86094, You got a lucky shot the bird is well posed and sharp and clear I congratulate you, the camera and the bird.
Thanks so much. It took a while to get a decent pose. I was on a path next to a pond so I couldn't move around to the side of the tree where the best poses were available. Being cooperative, however, the subject hung around for 10-15 minutes, which was remarkable enough, but would fly out and return to the same or a nearby branch on multiple occasions. It didn't seem to be bothered by me or the camera, unlike many birds, and I was able to walk back and forth on the path to get different poses. Some of them were pretty good. Thanks for looking...even though it wasn't a bug-eating plant. Have a great day and week. I appreciate your kind remarks. jak
