Yes, it can, another plus, and that is how mine is set up.

I use the Cannon printer, and I have others, HP, etc. Canon is the best I have found regardless of price. They are after all in the business.

Still having questions about printers. Many UHH ers have said to look at the Canon Pixma Pro-100. I find it on sale everywhere for under $100.00. Question- is anyone using it with windows 10, and how well does it print, compaired to my P.P 9000.
The answers are Yes and Great, but those are stand-alone answers, not comparisons as I don't have anything to base one on except my wife's all-in-one.

At $100.00 don't buy ink. A set of ink is more then $100.00 just replace the printer. Give the old one to a friend.

The cartridges that come with a new printer have just a little more ink in them than is needed to charge the print head. A fresh set of cartridges will have more ink in them than the cartridges that come with a new printer.
Be very careful selecting third party ink. There are lots of brands out there but only a select few are as good as what Canon puts in their cartridges.

Canon Pro 100 comes with a set of ink that is more than normal and the Pro 10 come with a full set of ink

In the business?! So, what business is companies like Brother or Epson or Lexmark, to name a few, in?
One thing Canon has going for it in the ink jet printer arena, they invented inkjet technology.
Canon's high end and large format printers are second to none, and there all in ones are quite good also.
My problem with their mid sized models is the odd ball 13X19 size prints. It's ok but 14X20 just makes more sense to me.
Color wise, I've got not a single issue. It's hard to beat their color reproduction.

One hog mentioned smaller prints and which printers not to use. I only print 8 1/2 x 11 or smaller myself. I have had a Canon MG7520 for several years and it prints very well. Not bad on ink usage either. I do use only Canon's inks however. Hope this helps others like me who don't print their own larger prints.

I use it with Windows 10, and IMHO it’s the best printer I’ve ever owned (in the last 30 years or so)

I am on my second Canon Pixma Pro-100 (had the 1st one for over 5 yrs) and it's a really good printer. It IS slow when printing the photos, but I'm in no hurry I print a lot of 4x6 and 5x7's for dog obedience students graduation gifts and have never had an issue with it, and also use it periodically for clients wishing to purchase photos from competitions. I normally buy the 8 pk of ink cartridges (at Staples-$135.00) because there isn't one store around here that sells the cartridges individually, but if I just need one or two I will order them from Staples and have them delivered the next day. It does take up a lot of room though and I had to buy a separate stand for mine, but it really is a great printer! I'm still on windows 7, so can't help you with the windows 10 question, but I think you will be very happy with it. I don't think I've heard anyone complain, I have two other friends that have one as well, and we are all happy with ours.

This is incorrect; inkjets were invented in Lund, Sweden by Helmuth Hertz (grandson of the Hertz after whom the unit for frequency is named) in the mid to late 1960s.

I use a Pixma Pro-10 too. Works well with Windows 10. I use it through my Adobe program under 'file' and automation tools. Slow but I imagine high quality printers are (haven't had enough experience to really compare speed).

I have the Canon g4210 and use it with my windows 10 as well as with my Apple phone. The picture quality is great. The big advantage is it has ink tanks instead of cartridges. For the $11 per color I can print many times more prints than a cartridge will produce. I paid around $300 for the printer itself. However, it will pay for itself quickly. I have printed dozens of full sized (8x10) pictures and the ink levels have barely moved. I love it

I use the Canon Pro-100 and like it. However, I had a lot of trouble at first getting good prints.
The trick I found (after much Googling) was to use the software that comes with the printer - Canon Print Studio Pro.
As far as can tell, it is only available as a plugin to LR or PS (and probably other photo processing software).
To access in LR, click File | Plug In Extras | Canon Print Studio Pro.

It is HORRIBLY slow to launch, but once it is ready to print, it works well with any ICC profile you select and I have only gotten bad
prints when I put the paper in wrong, or used the wrong profile. I wasted a lot of paper trying figure out how to make LR print directly.
PhotoShop was better, but still not as reliable as Print Studio Pro.

That is my 2 cents. Hope it helps. By the way, when I order ink, I order from Canon - no different price than any other source, free shipping, and they often throw in "gifts" such
as paper sample packages. Some of them are useful, but they don't add to your cost, so why not.

That's good to know about ordering straight from Canon, I may have to check that out. Is it pretty quick turn around time? If I have to order single cartridges, I can order from Staples and have it sent to the store or my home and it's normally the next day to the store or two at the most to my house. I normally print from PS, like you, I had a hard time printing from LR and wasted a lot of paper. Thanks again for the good info.
