Beautiful images. For perhaps another grin, in the red rose picture I see a smiling black cat with bright red eyes... upper right-hand corner....I am sidelined from nature walks for a while with a broken ankle (stepped in a hole while photographing...)so am enjoying the vicarious ambles here.

Wow! You have an imagination like mine. Cool. I was grounded for months this summer. It feels so good to get out and walk without pain. I hope you heal soon. Glad you came along.

Thanks, Jak. You've certainly suffered your share of pain. I totally agree that just moving or having tasks really helps. Just sometimes it's hard to get out of the chair!

Hi. Thanks for your kind note. I know what you mean. I tend to stay up late watching TV then stay in bed too late in the morning. Sometimes I can get myself up...other times I just read or lay around...I shouldn't, but it can be hard to get going. So we just take one day at a time, try to get out of the house, and keep busy. I'm lucky to have family nearby, but I miss my loved ones every day. So we just keep plugging. I'll watch your photos and let you know someone's looking, though I know many UHHers are seeing your pics. jak

Very beautiful, Kathy and may need to revisit your post in January and February!

Thanks, Corky. Feel free. Your winter blues are sort of like our summer blues - constantly cooped up in the house because of the extreme heat.

Thanks, Mike. I can't do birds. I was shocked that it got the flutterby!

I was feeling sad and not just a little bit angry, so I went for a 2-mile walk through a beautiful garden. These lifted my spirits. I hope they will brighten your day.

These beautiful shots lifted my spirits too, kathy.
Nature walks revive the soul and just make a person feel better. What would we do without mother nature? The butterfly in flight is an amazing shot! I hope you are feeling better.

Thanks! The butterfly shot really surprised me! I was so lucky. My shaky hands weren't doing so well that morning. I guess my shake and his flight coordinated. If I would do walks like that every day, it would really be a good thing.
