I live in an agricultural area, close to a town. Animals are dumped in the orchards and vineyards of the road to my house. I watched someone stop in the orchard, push out two beautiful male chocolate Labrador pups, and quickly drive away! All done while I was watching! I did pick up the pups, but couldn't read the car's license number! Most of us love animals. Some of us are heartless beasts! Can't say any more! There is a County-run animal shelter, and also a no-kill shelter, locally! No need to just throw them away! I've got four dogs. ALL are rescues! Wonderful dogs, even the diabetic pit-bull!

She's a beauty, Bill. Hopefully, she'll find her 'forever' family through your efforts.

The spot on her right leg is an allergy response. To what, I don't know.
My Malamute had them on both forelegs. Some people should not own dogs!!

I too live out in the boonies. People are always dropping of cats and dogs. At one point we had 14 outside cats, we had them all fixed with the help of very kind program run by a local vetrinary hospital. All have a warm sleeping area in the barn. They do a good job keeping rodents and snakes away
We also have four abandoned / rescued dogs. Guess we are known around here for soft hearts when it comes to our furry friends.

Somebody pulled up by the pond across from my house and let his dog run. They are supposed to be leashed, but I don't really mind. I went back to what I was doing and then noticed the car was down near the corner with the dog chasing after it. The dog spent some time sniffing around and running in different directions. She was exhausting herself so I gave her some water and meatloaf. She eventually calmed down and turned out to be a really friendly animal. Eventually I had to call animal control who picked her up.

How could anyone abandon such a sweetheart?

The Native American Indians have a belief that when Your time has come to be called Home, You will be greeted first by all of the animals that You have dealt with in Your life, and They will decide if You are worthy of Eternity in Heaven or not. I hope that belief is true.

A beautiful Siberian Husky! we've had 2, our daughter has one, our current dog is a Husky mix. They are sweet, love people, they are also escape artists, love to run, love to hunt small animals. They are very intelligent, but are almost untrainable to stay in a yard. They seem to do better on a lead than in a fenced area unless it's quite big. They are a handful but oh so sweet, also odor free, but they do shed a lot, but I love them! I hope it finds a good home.

Beautiful dog, they should be able to find her a home.

I do not know how people can do that.. Should anything happen to me I have made sure that my dogs will be looked after by someone who will look after than as I do and not put in a dogs home to be had by just anyone.. My agility trainer has said she would have Blue and then he would still be trained and loved..

I sincerely cannot believe there could be a human being doing something like this. I have seen others to take their pets for adoption simply because they could not keep them any longer but I have seen more abandoning their pets.
My wife, over a year ago, saw a kitten, perhaps 3-4 weeks old walking erratically on the sidewalk under the hot Florida sun. She decided to pick her up and bring her home. The poor kitten was practically dying of hunger and thirst. I feed her with milk and gave her water. By the following day she was weak but was eating and drinking water.
Now she is over one year old, friendly and loves everyone here.
We are not heroes we are simply human beings.

What a beauty. She shouldn't have any trouble finding a good home.
