Fran, I love them as they are and since you are putting them on a wall you realize what I am also thinking.

FWIW, I think #2 is the better image. I would consider deepening the sepia tone a bit.

Thank you Dave. I'm going to let my friend decide. I also just finished a 3rd version with a bit more drama.

Nicely processed. I like the first one although the shade of the room's wall would determine my final choice.

Thanks Sippy. I like both. I think I'll let her decide.

Thanks for the compliment, Angela. My friend's tastes are minimalist and monochrome. I DID enjoy doing these. I'm going to have her decide which she prefers.

I like the monochrome and duo-tones, but wondered why the harsh boarder around the delicacies of the flowers.

I had a nice picture of some azaleas. I wanted to do something different, more monochrome. It's a gift to be put in a grey room. .So, this is what I acme up with. Do you think I should adjust the shadows/highlights for greater contrast between the two. Thanks for looking
Fran

definitely the first one...it looks so much sharper in the download than the second one.

The person receiving it showed me a picture of a piece where the subject was was irregularly exposed, as opposed to a straight boxy frame around the subject.
