A Picture Perfect Day at the Lake

After an unusually hot, humid and rainy summer here in NJ, we're finally getting some nice days with temps in the 70's and no humidity. Had some fun walking through Echo Lake Park in Mountainside - hope you enjoy.

That's an outstanding composition. I like how the tree and its large branch frame up the left side. It's also great how the boulders to the left and the border to the right of the walkway create leading lines that the viewer can follow all the way to the gazebo. There seems to be a blueish tint noticeable on leaves, especially on the far side of the lake. It could be from of an overcast sky. A white balance adjustment could correct it. Maybe it's just me. Other people may have a different opinion.

Thanks Carol - it's a beautiful park and you can almost feel any tension or stress you may have leave your body. The people I met there were all very friendly, and clearly enjoying themselves. Nice to spend time back in natural settings and away from the hustle and bustle. I think that's why I like the shore so much.

Thanks CO - glad you liked the picture! I had some time that day to walk around and consider composition more than I normally do. Also, thanks for noticing the blue tint; I'll go correct that. It's funny how many times you can look at an image, and not notice things.
BTW, I just looked at your post "1930's theme photo shoot", and loved the images. Contrary to some of the posters, I really liked the use of color and your lighting was excellent. My favorite was the girl putting on lipstick while looking into the car mirror.
