It is Tom, I believe it's the old Post Office. I did photograph it a couple years ago. You can see it on this thread: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-369978-1.html

Thanks for giving me this thread James. Great shots there also.

Nice shot. Next time I'm in the area, I'll check it out. Kudos to you on the photo. All your walls are straight!

Though I can smell the burgers, I can also see two guys washing their armpits in the bathroom sink and the stale, cold smell of vending machine coffee

Thanks for your amazing story. I just love these. You really need to write a book on your life. I bet it would be filled with great stories to pass down.

Thank you, but 99.9% of my life has been boring and routine = peaceful (of course that is in relation to 2 years in Nam and 34 years with the Los Angeles Unified School district at the Jr & Sr High level - mostly in East Los Angeles.

Found this really cool old style art deco bus depot that has been converted into a burger joint. Had to take a picture and now I hope you folks will like to too. Located in downtown Evansville Indiana (as you can see on 3rd and Sycamore).

Great find and photo James! I'm happy to know this fine piece of historical architecture has been repurposed. It certainly evokes a time when bus travel was "a thing". I really appreciate your eye.

Yea, most old bus depots are pretty much gone. This one survived thanks to the people of Evansville. We have a shiny new bus "terminal" is what they call them today here in Nashville. Shared by many bus lines. Sadly, a few vagrants manage to hang around begging for handouts so that part hasn't changed.

Wow! Thanks for sharing, James. I always enjoy your posts so keep them coming. Thanks again for your suggestion several years ago to purchase a Sony A65. I still like it as well as I did right out of the box. Left Jackson twenty-two years ago but still have great memories of TN.

Must be a pretty big burger joint from the looks of it.

Well Thank you Kindly. That A65 is a good camera. Sadly my A55 died which kind of forced to do some shopping. Now shooting with the RX10M3 and loving it as well. Happy shooting my friend.

A look back in time Sylvia at bus transportation. This building appears to have a 50's era look to it. Thanks for stopping by.
