Clever way to go around the world to get across the street.
I humbly offer the suggestion of exploring the benefits of a bellows.
You can then ad micro-photography lens or reversed lenses to explore a whole new world.
It will have a lot less mass to deal with.

I'm impressed. The only component not in there is an oil immersion objective!

Are you sure your not thinking of a sci-fi movie? That sounds familiar. Seriously, there was a sci-fi movie with a similar plot. I'll try to think of the name.

Jerry, I do not want to alarm you but during the Eisenhower Administration as part of "Plow Share" they drilled a deep hole in the mountains near you and put in an H bomb [actually Lithium**]... it did not detonate [yet] and they had no way to retrieve it. OH OH !

** Fourteen months later, on March 1, 1954, a deliverable hydrogen bomb using solid lithium deuteride was tested by the United States on Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands. ... The predicted yield was 5 megatons, but, in fact, "BRAVO" yielded 14.8 megatons, making it the largest U.S.

Jerry, sorry to see you go... I am reminded of the song "So long its been good to know you"

The addition of the rotating microscope objectives... that does the job well, except we need some magnetic coils to bend the light. Black hole lens effect.

Where did your info on "Operation Plowshare" come from? As far as I know Plowshare didn't start until 1958 and all tests up to 1961 were non-nuclear High Explosives. The only one even proposed for anywhere near Jerry in New York was "Ketch" in 1967 for Renovo, PA. One of 25 proposals to take place between 1959 and 1974 that were never carried out. (In 1967 Johnston was president, I was in Nam-the Democrats said if I voted for Goldwater I would go to Vietnam, I did and I went.) According to all I can find "Ketch" never even got to the core drilling stage to check the geology. A core drill does not produce a bore large enough for even the smallest nuclear device to be put down. The Gas company and the AEC dropped the proposal due to public protest and pressure from the Game and Fish people among others.

Hi everyone,

Working distance; 5 centimeters.

Soon, iĺ tell the magnification and upload a test shot

Very ingenious set up.

Nice tripod, but I might go for something heavier. Or just set
the camera on a sandbag on the floor.

LED ring lighting is clever, but I hope you tried those LEDs
first for color.

There are a millon ways to make "white" light--
only some of them will work with your camera.

It's good thing you've tested it.

Not chip chinese leds!
This leds that i've chosen has phosphor filled in the reflector to converts the
blue emission of InGaN chip to ideal white.

By the way, I've chosen a good switched power supply and specific dimmers!

Unfortunately no, but if you want to build one, I can help!

The ring and the housing holes for LEDs, must be accurately machined!
This is not within reach of everyone who wants to do it at home without the proper tools.

I must opt out Manuel, as I have not a lathe or equivalent machine to do the job.

Great idea. Love the implementation. Can you supply the drawing of the ring, pdf, iges, step or ? and the p/n for the led's. They appear to be around 5000K.
