Oh, Donna, how fantastic. I've never seen one in person and to enjoy via your creative eye is a huge treat!
Well I'm delighted you enjoyed these, Linda! I don't see them often, so this one was a real treat. They're about the size of a small hummingbird, and that's what I thought this one was at first. Thanks so much for your comment and encouragement, Linda. I always appreciate you!
Wonderful images once again. Always look forward to your latest uploads.

Oh, my. Beautiful. Very nice. I chase those around pretty often. If I ever get a photo of one, I will let you know...
Those are great.

Mike, this one was an accident. I just happened to be shooting wood sage and bumblebees when this little creature appeared. Thanks so much, Mike, and I hope you have photos of one to post very soon!
Might be the best shots I've ever seen done of these! We do get them around our Mimosa trees in the summer, but I've never managed to catch one so well! Outstanding work, Donna!
Wow! What a compliment, Randy! Thank you so very much! This one spent its time at the same plants or I never would have managed to get a shot. They're usually flitting around way too fast for me.
These are excellent, Donna. Great job.

Happy accidents are great.
It may be a long wait before I post a photo of one of those guys. I see them on the
Lithospermum out on the dunes every year.
Is that Wood sage the same plant as the one we call Germander I wonder?

They sure are, Mike! Not sure about the plant. The Mobile River delta is where I found these, and they make the entire area smell wonderful like spices. Does that sound like Germander to you?
Donna, these are great shots. The detail is outstanding and the moth is so perfect flitting around such lovely blossoms. Outstanding work on these!
I believe Wood Sage and Woodland Germander are the same plant.
