I really like the new image. It has nice colour, density, and composition.

Well, I sure do appreciate all the input. I just submitted my pictures (#3 [most popular among you all], #1 because the out-of-focus leaves tell a story I have, and the last still shot of vegies). I agree they aren't anything outstanding but I like to try and enter this contest, usually only when I think I have something better than my usual. Thanks again everyone.
Honestly, though they are nice, none of the photos "speak" . IMO these photos do not show your photo skills and lack an interesting point of view.
I am not being mean, but honest.

Thanks. I appreciate your honesty. They didn't really speak to me really either. I just wanted to go for the contest.
Keep trying. I would like to see a shot without the soil. Use flash to gain Maximum DOF.

Thanks for your input. You may be right about the subject. Just didn't feel I had a lot to choose from. Do you think this merits a submission more?
You are getting close. That arrangement would look great on a large wicker tray or even a Tatami mat. That would concentrate the eye on the subjects much more.
2 has the best focus, but I like the composition of one the best.
Are you more interested in the flower or the zucchini? Fall harvest suggests food not flowers, but the picture is of yet, I assume, unharvested food. Maybe a bunch of already harvested (picked) zucchini together with some of the flowers amongst them. This would be more suggestive of a harvest to comply with the theme. Also, more of a wide angle and not so close in and showing more zucchini, maybe in a basket. It's always good to try and be different and unusual, millions of pictures have been taken of flowers. The essence of a great picture is surprise, and "wow, how did you get that shot?" Hope this helps.
I really like #3 with a little more crop. Nice job!!
