Agree on all points. Wait and see is the only option. Anyone contemplating buying a D-7200 who anticipates using Wi-Fi WMU for it's very limited utility (RAW anyone?), and who is running an iPhone with iOS 12 might not be buying a Wi-Fi-capable camera for the present. I can't speak to other models. App developers have access to early versions of operating system updates. We'll see what happens.

Apple publishes all their specs. They have the best developers’ community out there... Maybe the OP needs to look in the App Store for an update.

That's the *first* thing I did. I am running the most current version. Then I contacted Nikon (haven't heard back, hasn't been 48 hours yet )– then alked to Apple. They say it's Nikon's problem- as I had pretty much already surmised.

I have a Blackberry Priv (Android platform). I've turned on the Airplane mode and then turned my Wi-fi on, after turning on the Wi-fi on the 7200 and the WMU app on my phone. The Wi-fi on my phone then finds the Nikon, and I'll select "Connect" and then go back to WMU and it has worked to connect to use the phone to take pictures. Good luck with the I-phone.

SnapBridge worked great when I bought my D850. Tried it again last week. No matter what I did, my iPhone with IOS 11.4 wouldn’t connect to the D850. Downloaded SnapBridge to my IPad Pro last night and it worked fantastic. I was remotely altering settings and taking pictures with the D850 using my IPad like the LCD in Live mode. Loved it. IPad yes. iPhone no. Go figure.

Yeah. WMU still runs fine on my ancient iPad that has now been orphaned from iOS updates. Now that Nikon is selling refurb D-7200s for under $700, I don't know how much attention they will be paying to WMU which can be described as "first generation" Wi-Fi camera software. We'll see. I guarantee you *your* problem will be fixed. Got to keep the flagship users happy!

Mine seems to work (can connect, view and copy off photos):

Nikon D750
iPhone 8 plus
WMU 1.6.0 since 2 weeks ago (added iOS 11.4 compatibility)

I did not do anything unusual to connect (except step 3 below), just the following sequence:

1. Turn camera on.
2. Enable Wi-Fi on camera.
3. Connect to camera's SSID on iPhone (usually this is automatic for me; maybe a needed step now?)
4. Confirm connection status in WMU, then look at photos.

Perhaps the D7200 provides a differently configured network than my D750; enough to cause iOS 8 to distrust it (pure speculation on my part).

For what it's worth, my D5500 and my iPhone 7 (IOS 12) are working fine together with the WMU app. Able to transfer files, and use WMU as a remote control for the D5500.

I’m having a similar problem.

If I use my wife’s iPhone 6s running iOS 12, WMU connects to my D750 over WiFi and all is good.

But if I try the same thing with my iPhone Xs (iOS 12), I can connect to the cameras Wi-Fi, get an IP address, but WMU doesn’t see the camera.
