Most are overpaid children. Don't even watch let alone pay to go to games. I'm retired military, and took oath to allow them the freedom, but surely don't agree with there actions.

The Smithsonian Channel runs a series of programs called Aerial America. Last night I watched the one about Wyoming which talked about this monument and it was mentioned that Native Americans think the name is offensive.
This from a Reuters article:

Spiritual leaders of the Sioux and more than a dozen Native American tribes want U.S. officials to rename Devils Tower, an iconic rock formation and national monument in Wyoming that has religious and cultural importance to the tribes.
Chief Arvol Looking Horse, spiritual leader of the Great Sioux Nation and the head of the effort, said the name is offensive and suggests that Indian religious rituals practiced for centuries at the striking 900-foot (274-meter) tower in the Black Hills were forms of devil worship.

Native American names for the monolith include: "Bear's House" or "Bear's Lodge" (or "Bear's Tipi", "Home of the Bear", "Bear's Lair"; Cheyenne, Lakota Matȟó Thípila, Crow Daxpitcheeaasáao "Home of Bears"), "Aloft on a Rock" (Kiowa), "Tree Rock", "Great Gray Horn", and "Brown Buffalo Horn" (Lakota Ptehé Ǧí).
According to the Smithsonian program the Native Americans say the grooves were made by bear claws.

Wikipedia says the name “Devils Tower” comes from a poor translation of the NA term “Bad Gods Tower”. I can understand the error. But for what it’s worth, I say let the Native Americans have their way and re-name it. I won’t lose any sleep over it either way. Just my 2 cents.
