Great job. To bad it isn't flying. Got a ride in Nine-O-Nine last fall. The most exciting experience of my life. A real live B-17. It doesn't get better than that.

And if you want to read what I consider to be an excellent book about the Memphis Belle and her crew this is the one. I recently read it and have it in my library. It was written by her pilot, Robert (Bob) Morgan and Ron Powers.
The Man Who Flew the Memphis Belle
Memoir of a WWII Bomber Pilot

Wow! Restored to perfection. Beautifully photographed.

Hi Paul...yes I know. Yellow stars are the missions when the Belle lead her bomb group (a smaller part of the whole). Red stars are missions when the Belle was the lead plane for the entire mission including all assigned bombing sub groups. Thanks for stopping by...appreciate your visit.
Excellent, thank you James. I didn't remember seeing these icons before. They speak to the leadership qualities of the crew as well.
So very cool!! Thank you for sharing!!
Great photos of an historic plane, glad to see that she has undergone a well deserved restoration. During a trip through the Midwest many years ago we stopped in Memphis and saw the Memphis Belle displayed under a covered dome on Mud Island. My mother's brother piloted a B-17, the Miss Smith, was stationed in England and flew many missions over Germany. Unfortunately he went down with his plane, but only after keeping it aloft long enough for his crew to bail out. While there he took a photograph of the Memphis Belle and her crew.

Thanks I will look into getting a copy. I did see that Robert Morgan's son was present at the unveiling of this restoration. Wearing his fathers silver wings. He was an amazing leader.
That is the BEST PHOTOGRAPHY job I have every seen on web. And I see 1,000s a day. I would love to see a lot more of your work (ART). I have a web farm would love to sell your art for free to you. My farm is #2 on Google page.
Excellent Photographs ... Thank You for taking the Time to Share.

Thanks for you contribution and adding sharing these interesting photos. Sorry about the loss of your relative. I read that over 200,000 airmen lost their lives during the bombing campaign. That is a lot of fine people who died so that others could be free. God Bless them all.
Fantastic photos. Very, very well rendered. Thank you for sharing.
