Another marginal reader. Check the rules: "This section is for general chit-chat, current events, and other discussions not related to photography."

The rules also say political discussions belong in the Attic.

You jump on trump as a draft dodger but what about slick willie who actively avoided the draft. You’re like Fox News make the facts fit your point of view.

I never remember Clinton disrespecting a combat veteran's service.

He made his feelings for The President known so why isn't it OK for The President to make his feeling known?

In a society where folks are taught to think rationally and clearly it would be but that's not how things are now a days.

You're right. Most people base their thoughts on the superstitions in which they believe. People of faith
let others do their thinking for them.

Flags are still lowered in McCain's honor at the U.S. Capitol and on the National Mall this morning.

U.S. Code says: "The flag shall be flown at half-staff ... on the day of death and the following day for a member of Congress."

That is what the code says but past presidents/states/cities have opted to extend the time when appropriate.

Maybe people should get educated before posting BS.
There is a flag code. Here's one of many links: https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-539188-1.html

"The flag is to be flown at half-staff at all federal buildings, grounds and naval vessels in
the Washington, D.C., area on the day and day after the death of a United States
senator, representative, territorial delegate, or the resident commissioner from the
Commonwealth of Puerto Rico."

The flag was flown at half staff exactly as it was supposed to be.

People will lie about anything in the news anymore. Then people blindly repeat it without checking it.
Anymore it seams the more educated people are the more ignorant and uneducated they actually are.

Do you have any evidence to prove what you just said about people of faith? I think just the opposite

Apparently the time wasn't appropriate.

And just who deems it appropriate the news media? The president didn’t feel the need and why should he?

I would defer to Dedo's original post and posit that all of Trumps actions
are guided by the fact that he is 100% Asshole.

While Ricardo7 can defend his own argument, there is a body of thought which states that people put too much reliance on the leadership of whatever religion or belief they espouse. The end of the argument will lead one to conclude that too much reliance on others has led to the problems of sex abuse in the Catholic Church, and the Dr. Nassar sex abuse of young gymnasts.
