Angela: beautiful shots, as per usual.
Sorry to see you take some time off from the Hog.
Wishing you well and come back soon.

Many thanks, foodie.... if there were only more hours in a day, this wouldn't be a problem, but for now, I need to step back!
Take care and keep clicking!!!

You'll be missed Angela! I know how you feel...been there too many times myself! But I've given up other things and still stay with the HOG! Between that and the business side of things, I'm really busy!

You will certainly be missed. My hopes are that you will drop in every chance you get. Love seeing all the great work you have done this year with the butterflies. Still hoping to see some here in Virginia, but not many around my house this year. Take care Angela.

Many thanks Dave.... life keeps us busy so I had to cut out a few things and this site being one... I will miss all my wonderful friends I've made over the years and I thank you for your always kind comments, in time I will pop in again!! FYI... one of my butterflies emerged this morning, but I couldn't release it since it was raining and I had to leave to watch my grandson's so she has to wait for me to get home later today!! Still about 10 more cats to go!! It's probably too late to see them in your garden this year, since they'll be migrating soon... but I'm sure they'll find you next summer!!
Take care, my friend and keep clicking and doing what's fun!!!

This is a bitter sweet decision as I've made so many wonderful friends on here and have enjoyed being part of this family, but I know we will still keep in touch and knowing me, I'll probably pop in every now and then!!

I also wanted to give an update on my Monarchs!

To date I have released 24...15 males/9 female, 3 in chrysalis and a few cats still munching away. I'm still finding eggs on the milkweed and have taken in 5 that have just hatched.... This was a really good year for the Monarchs on Long Island and in my garden.

Cell shots of a beautiful female I released....

Take care and keep clicking!!!

Monarch Mama has done it again, not only releasing your babies which you have nurtured to adulthood, but for these beautiful shots. I will miss your wonderful posts, but will follow you on Flicker. I have enjoyed all of your wonderful pictures, and the fun comments you have sent my way; they too will be missed. Take care my friend! God bless!

You are so sweet and I'm so grateful that we connected on this site.... but you know you haven't lost me yet, my dear friend.... I still have your number and of course we will stay connected with email and would love if you follow my photography on Flickr... you know that's my passion!!
As far as the butterflies go... every time I bring in leaves for the cats to munch, I find eggs... so I can't let them be eaten, now 4 eggs in incubation a handful of little ones and 4 huge ones waiting to hang.... yesterday two made their chrysalis!

We will chat soon!!
