Most of these were to say the least, very difficult shots. Made from inside a tourist bus while traveling. Tinted glass and snow covered bumpy road. If I had it to do over, I would rent a car, and drive it myself up the Dalton haul road. I met two groups from China, who had done just that. Most Car Rentals in Fairbanks will not allow their vehicles to travel on that road. Did not seem that bad to me in the winter. Well maintained, but snow covered. Just couldn't stop when I wanted to, to take photos, which was probably a good thing as I would have stopped A LOT! Gorgeous landscape!!!

Wow! Love the shots, don’t know if I would be brave enough to try it though.
Very nice set.
Beautiful images. Admire your bravery.
Beautiful series! The frosty look is most welcome and refreshing this time of year.
You got some great shots even though you were not in control of your shooting situation. But at least you were with a group! What would happen if you were alone in that frozen area and your car broke down! -- PixieJackie
Enjoyable series of photographs.
You did well given your circumstances, through glass windows on a bus.
Well done

Glad you like them. My shots just do not do it justice. I had always kinda wanted to go in the winter, but I would not have made the winter trip if not for a friend who asked us to help him move to Anchorage in the middle of January. Very glad we did!

Glad you liked them. The trip was MUCH easier than I expected. But I think I lost my marbles to even consider it in the first place, lol. Actually want to do it again, someday!

Glad you find them refreshing, especially in the summer heat.

Very glad you liked them. Thanks for your kind comment!
Preparation is the key to winter travel in that frozen land. There is the occasional vehicle on all of the roads we were on. At least 4 per hour in the day time. We were on a tighter schedule than I had hoped on the way up. Drove 50 to 60 mph almost all of the 4,000 mile way. I was following the other vehicle, I would stop, put down my window, take a quick shot, play catch up!
