Killer Wisteria...

It’s coming to get you Angela!
We somehow managed to get Russian Vine growing in the garden, it twines itself around everything it touches and even when we think we have eradicated it, it pops up again!
LOL.... they are so evil and still after these years, we're pulling out little sprouts... so I sleep with one eye open!! hahaha...
I don't know what Russian Vine is, Sylvia, but if you can't control it, it's also evil!! Good luck!!!
....just googled it, also know as Mile a Minute!! We have vines like that here as well!!!

I saw one at grew into a small tree but it was all alone and nothing to invade on. I have one that is choking my pampas grass but it is ok I want both them to die. I will just kill the winner.
LOL.... I hope your wistera never flowered, because then all the seeds are everywhere.... that's what happened to me!!! Good luck, they are not easy to kill!!!!
I appreciate your visit and chuckle!!

Beautiful shot of a beautiful vine, Angela! Such a shame something so pretty can be so pushy!
The native variety (American wisteria) isn't invasive but just as beautiful. I've seen it in the woods and at Bellingrath Gardens, but we don't have it planted in our yard.
Thankfully this was not taken in my yard.... they have huge wisteria vines at the arboretum, so I had to take this shot!!
Thanks so much, Donna, for your always kind comments.... I would never trust that other variety, once is enough dealing with this invasive plant and it's still haunting us!!

I commiserate with you, Angela. As you know I am battling to get rid of mine as well. It is taking years.
Thanks, Corolyn.... as beautiful as it was, what a nightmare!!!

I also feel your pain, Angela. The original next door neighbors sold many years ago but we are still contending with their Wisteria!

Oh no..... I dare not tell David he'll be digging sprouts for more years!!! We also had to deal with our neighbor who planted invasive bamboo.... we dug and cursed every night, finally it's under control!!! It went through my pet cemetary and we were afraid it would get to the pond.... and this is the reason I plant everything in pots, since we totally killed the soil with all the stuff we used to kill the bamboo!!

I've had my dealings with this plant that I once loved... but after it killed my giant maple, I want no dealings with it.... still digging up sprouts after two years!!!
But this image just caught my eye as it was creeping through this lattice!!!

Angela, I do not believe I have any but will keep an eye out for it.

Have ya tried RoundUp? That should work. Or maybe agent orange.

Believe me, Greg... you would know if you did and they have the most beautiful flowers and scent.... but don't let that fool you!! lol...
This is not from my yard, as we pull it out the minute we spot a sprout!!

LOL... we had it cut down and my husband drilled holes in the small stump and put in stump killer.... but it's the seeds that went all over after all these years.... we just dig them up!!
