All is not lost. Unfortunately, once lightened, you can see that she is a bit out of focus.

Use your camera's flash as fill usually whenever the face is in shadow. Even in bright daylight and the sun is behind your subject. In fact that's about my favorite way of posing people when only armed with my camera. I put the sun behind them so they're not squinting and their hair is highlighted.

Great Colors ! Wish I had scenery like that here in the desert. In Picasa, all I did on this one was push the *I'm feeling lucky* button. Made the colors come out so vibrant. Nice Picture :)

Hi Nana.... Nice shot, just needs more saturation, and a little straightening, the trees were leaning to the left a little.

Hope you don't mind?.... Mike

THAT WAS GOOD, I TRY SATURATION ON MY FUGI SOFTWARE, BUT I CAN NEVER SEEM TO GET IT RIGHT, EITHER TO MUCH OR TO LITTLE, AND THE PIC SEEMS BLURRED, IS IT THE SOFTWARE THAT CAME WITH THE CAMERA OUTFIT, OR IS PICASA BETTER

I don't think it's to blurry, I blew it up to 400 percent and it wasn't real bad. Small picture though online, and hard to work on. If you had used a circular polarizing filter I think the overcast sky would had been much better. The colors are all jammed together and doesn't give the trees a lot of definition from one another, in my opinion. This is the best I could do with it.

Hi Nana... I've never used Picasa, so I can't say. I Have PS ver 7 and CS ver 8, but I use Zoner Photo Suite Pro 13
for just about everything I do now. Last I checked it could be boughten for $69.99, and you get a license for three different computers. I did your pictures with it.

I just checked, and it's still on sale, and they have a 30 day, free download for a trial peroid, so you can try it first.
